St. Charles Borromeo Church — Attraction in New York

I had stumbled upon this place not too long ago and was touched by the warmth of the congregation the moment I walked in.

St. Charles Borromeo Church is a place unlike anything I've experienced. The music is soul stirring; the homilies are thoughtful and deeply moving; and you're sitting inside one of the very first Black Catholic Churches in NYC - if not in the US! The history of this Chuch is truly awe-inspiring.

I was lucky enough to assist to a sunday mass. I was as a tourist in NYC and visited the church. I arrived at 10, I didn't know the times and was so pleased that I stayed to see if I could hear the readings I had missed. Needless to say I stayed to the next mass and really enjoyed it again!. Amazing people, very welcomed guys and so nice to people. If you are looking for a Gospel mass service then this should be your church.

We got here while searching for some to go and enjoy their weekly mass services and they have received us with a big hug and some coffe.

Do not be stingy and give them something. They do really deserve it.
