I had stumbled upon this place not too long ago and was touched by the warmth of the congregation the moment I walked in.
St. Charles Borromeo Church is a place unlike anything I've experienced. The music is soul stirring; the homilies are thoughtful and deeply moving; and you're sitting inside one of the very first Black Catholic Churches in NYC - if not in the US! The history of this Chuch is truly awe-inspiring.

I arrived at 10, I didn't know the times and was so pleased that I stayed to see if I could hear the readings I had missed. Needless to say I stayed to the next mass and really enjoyed it again!.
