NYC 911 Paramedic here. While these ladies probably mean well, they are misleading the public. I've been on calls with them. They have a few inexperienced BLS members and 1 ambulance supposedly covering the borough. They probably are great for meemaw, who has abdominal pain for a week, and needs to go to the hospital on a stretcher. They are very not great for acute emergencies where competence and time matter. Not sure if and how many paramedics they have and where they may be stationed out of. I've had many medic students intern with me over the years and never had one who vollyed for this organization.
