Everything that can go wrong in a bagel store is wrong at brooklyn bagel in BP, from opening 8am (compared to 6:30 like others) to disgusting tuna, nasty pre-scrambled eggs in a bucket, and frying it till its dried out, to not cutting the sandwich all the way (yea you know exactly how frustrating that is), they don't even know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte, you literally can't even choose one over the other, on their screen menu it's "cappuccino/latte" as one item, I was there 9:45 in the morning and they had almost nothing, their daily bagels and pastry delivery was arriving just then, the workers have no clue what they are doing, I ordered a sandwich but they packed everything on the side in a container, I asked the manager which company coffee the use cuz I don't buy if it's the cheap nasty coffee, he says he doesn't know, I sincerely don't know how long this place will stay open.
UPDATE: Ok so now we have a reply saying how good everything is, well it isn't so how can someone make that claim?! Oh it's the owners review! Instead of listening to his customers and taking constructive criticism, he doesn't address any of the issue's I posted, he talks about sourdough focaccia, and Frappuccino. What a shame. And yet again I went in and ordered a Florida Sunny croissant on the menu it is listed as a toasted buttery croissant but as usual with this place they did not toast it, and this is after waiting 15 minutes for a simple sandwich, so I told the guy at the register it's not what I ordered so he tells me know it's not good toasted, well if it's good or not I will decide but this is the order on the menu which they had no idea about, he literally tried convincing me I shouldn't want it toasted the guy had no idea what he's talking about, I've never seen a place that literally wants to shut down, if you see all the reviews everybody complains about this place and instead of addressing the issues...

Read moreI think there's a lot of potential here, but definitely has to be tweaked. First off, let me just say everything is fresh and for the most part very tasty. However everything is rather overpriced especially because the portions are really small. But I was really disappointed by the fact that the pictures on the tablet where you order from, look completely different than the actual product that you're getting.
For example, we ordered Parmesan pesto fries. On the menu, it looked delicious and it actually looked like fries. What we got, was a bland cut-up red potato, that was semi raw, sprinkled with basil spice and a little pizza cheese melted on top. Parmesan cheese was also nowhere to be found. We also ordered shakshuka which looked beautiful and delicious on the menu in a cast iron skillet, but we got it in a disposable pan that was also half the size, and even the dish itself looked completely different. It was also just okay. I've had much better shakshuka... It's as though they took Google stock images for their menu. Very misleading.
The garlic pizza was delicious but it was tiny. Definitely not 10 inches which is the minimum that a pizza should be. Especially if it costs $20. However, the menu is well curated and has a lot of funky and unique dishes.
In the end, we spent $60 for a 2 person lunch and we left full. But a mixture of price, food quality and portion size is not rushing us back here anytime soon. Hopefully they'll make some tweaks and we'll give it another shot in...
