I'm new to the neighborhood and this is the closest supermarket to my residence and for lack of better words, this place sucks. I understand this is NYC and it's definitely a cultural melting pot, but not a soul in that building can speak adequate English, especially the cashiers. I would find myself asking questions to the cashiers about locations of particular products and no answer, because there's no English. The store manager or GM, kind of heavy set guy, has TERRIBLE customer service skills! Last week I was there and picked up some ice cream that looked to be on sale for three or four bucks and change. Just going off of the signage, I get to the cashier and it rings up for $6.99 but I asked the cashier isn't it the price that's listed by the product? No answer because of no English, so she gets the manager, he checks the price and says sorry, it's not the price. I go over and see that nothing on that Isle has the correct product price sticker of the product listed under. I hate terrible customer service and I'm fine with walking a mile to Jerome ave to shop...
Read moreWhen I was checking out the cashier EFRAIN D Lane 6 Cashier 112 said to me hi my friend and every time I purchase food from there she always calling customer's her friend. Then she stereotyped me and ask me do I have an OTC card. I purched a Sanka Instant coffee that was 2oz 58g. It rang up as $5.19 and I told her thats is the wrong price and she called the manager for him to check it and he said yes it is $3.89 and she had to void it out. She ask me do I want a bag and I said no and I pulled out my bags and she didn't offer to pack the grocery for me. She said next, very rude and I heard her tell one of the cashiers that I'm giving her problems, how is that. She is not professional and I actually brought 17 items that came up to $55.49 and that is the kind of service I get. She is not professional at all and Fine Fare will loose a lot of customers because of her. The cashier position is not for her. She is not an asset to Fine Fare. She is a liability and she needs to...
Read moreThis place is terrible, it is extremely overpriced and they charge you for the same item you buy everytime with a totally different price!!!! You should check your receipt every time ! You can buy something for 5 dolars and the next time you will pay 25 dolars, if you talk to them they will tell you the price changed and this is the new price in NYC but when you check any other store you will find the same price that you usually pay! I am a regular costumer of this store because I live nearby and I have noticed irregularities in my receipt for sometime but I ignored saying its just few dolars and maybe they are right and the prices change but recently there has been a huge gap between the real price and their price and it does not match any other store, I will never go back there, this is unbelievable...
