Was excited when this place opened up after rite aid closed in the same location. That excitement wore off quite quickly by this place's prices and its argumentative manager and incompetent cashiers. When the store opened, the owner? (Tall skinny balding guy) was really nice and was there everyday. You'd see him move shopping carts and the place looked immaculate. I'd go in almost everyday after i'd get off the train coming home from work. Then i started seeing a different guy, younger, chip on his shoulder (arrogant). There were a few circumstances where i asked the cashier if the item rang up as the sale price listed in the circular and she'd say yes but after paying i'd notice that was not the case and i was charged full price. I'd ask her about it, she'd call this guy and he would always act like i was trying to steal or he'd do everything possible to prove me wrong. i said go look at the price listed it says on sale and he'd always come up with excuses and act like me wanting a refund for overpaying was ludicrous. Did i mention their prices were quite high? I stopped going there. A few days ago, i go in and see all shelves pretty much empty. I ask the girl if they are closing and she says i don't know. Certain areas were even closed with sections curtained off. They have signs up saying they take cash only because there's something wrong with their credit card system. LOL how stupid do they think people in this neighborhood are? So they are going out of business because of their bad attitude and high prices and yet not one item is on sale. Typical. Will not miss this...
Read moreI've been here a few times, and i have mixed feelings about this place. A box of pops cereal costs a whopping $9, and it wasn't even the family size or anything. I bought some of their hot food today, rotisserie chicken with rice, I wasn't offered a utensil of some sort nor a paper bag to hold it in. I just ate it, and the chicken was delicious, nice flavor and a decent size (quarter leg). I didn't really enjoy the rice as much as the chicken , unfortunately, because it was kinda of mushy and just not to my liking but for only $5 I'd definitely come here...
Read moreSome cashiers are fine, I don’t expect them to pack my groceries but I also don’t expect them to toss the groceries I’m paying for while I’m checking out. Not the first time it’s happened and I would understand casually placing items at the end of the register but some will actually fling your groceries. Not sure what that’s about, but if it wasn’t stocked with all the groceries I need in one place I wouldn’t return. Meat Supreme, which is a block over, has a slightly more limited amount of groceries but definitely better...
