Not a bad place overall. One of the original massage spots that survived the pandemic and remained open after it. Rates went up everywhere and this place has one of the best rates post pandemic. They used to be $35/he before. Please understand that here you will find masseuses not a massage therapist. There is a big difference, massage therapists are licensed and a masseuse is not. Overall not a bad experience for the price but they kind of go extra on tips expecting a minimum of $20 tip on a $40 for 1 hour body massage. Something that a lot of people don't understand is that the person that does your massage is making a fraction of the cost of what you pay. Majority of the pay is pocketed by the owner and the poor masseuses that do the actual hard work only get a small fraction of it. This is the reason why tips are heavily relied upon. It is is still however unfair that when I have here 3 20's she didn't even offer to give me anything back. That is bad business. I got a 1 hour massage by Lucy which was not bad but overall they really need to learn how to speak at least basic English. How do they keep living like this in this country and not even attempt to understand basic language is be on my understanding. They should also stop talking with each other while the massage is going on which is kind of disrespectful and distracting. My massage also ended 5 mins before the due time which could have been used as much needed time for some head massage to finish off. Overall they used way too much oil as well. I also got a 30 minute foot massage which was pretty good. Looking forward to try other people from my massage and I would like a little bit more pressure. Convenient location where you can get plenty of different food options. They will have your green tea ready when you're done so let them know ahead of time if you don't want it. At the end of the massage I handed the person $60 expecting to get some change back but didn't even get asked if I needed anything back. It was a middle-aged lady so I just let it go because these people work hard. Best guy I had was at relaxed foot spa 3 in Brighton. After several disturbing experiences, I won’t be going back there. While the staff may not recognize me, I’ve actually recommended more than a dozen regular customers and they should treat every customer with respect. As other posters mentioned, they harass people who do not tip 50% of the service. I understand the prices are low and it’s tiring work for long hours and low pay. However, I’m not getting the amenities I would in more upscale places, such as cleanliness. Most of the chairs are broken, they don’t clean the chairs between customers (or probably ever), there’s fly paper with dead flies hanging from the ceiling and the place hasn’t been updated in at least a decade. They will take people out of turn and pretend they don’t understand you. If you ask for an hour foot massage, they will agree and then stop after half an hour with no apology. They obviously want to maximize their tips. Some workers are nicer than others. I paid for my service and was then getting money out for the tip and the worker started yelling at me in Chinese when he assumed (incorrectly) that I wasn’t tipping. I was still seated in the chair and it was apparent I was counting out the tip, which was generous, especially in view of the fact that my friend and I went for one hour massages and I only got half an hour and they took someone ahead of me who walked in half an hour later. While I understand some people may not tip or give low tips, he was just automatically yelling at me, which is unacceptable. I told him “It’s a good thing I have no idea what you’re saying.” Customers should not be intimidated into giving large tips, although I feel that I’m always generous. Best place I swear!!!! I go there every week with hubby, mom and me and my nephew joined us last week and wants to come as well from now on. I was very skeptical at first because I have been to places and never did what I wanted but here all I have to say is who speaks English and explain the issue to a person and he will tell her and all done! I go to same lady all The time she is amazing I have back problems and lately I have been having body aches a lot so when I travel for work and come home and I can’t wait to go on Thursdays because I know I might walk in all bent out of shape and walk out all straight and feeling fresh and without any pain! They are truly amazing! You do have to tell them where to be a little softer and where to be harder and if u keep going they will learn your body and u good to go.
