The library is outdated, dirty and loud. The staff is very rude, disrespectful and mean, including the manager of the place. They often talk or yell over your head to the nearest assistant, laughing, and exchanging their small talks loudly, disregarding the library customers who are trying to read or study. You can often hear how customers ask: where is the safe /not noisy place to read, study and concentrate on the school' papers, and there will be no adequate answer, as nobody cares if there is actually a place for people to read and focus . Teens are often dwell in a large groups playing poker with the staff members and library volunteers (!!) yelling, fighting and eating oily burgers around the books and the computers. Homeless people are occupying the 50% of the library including the computer areas for adults , and it is a struggle to get to the computer as the 'waiting list ' is very long and the area smells badly. Small kids are running and yelling without any restrictions and even parents don't care as they use the library building as some sort of a playground for kids to full around. When I asked the manager why there is such a mess in the library she replied that it is 2019 already, and that the public libraries are rapidly changing now. I am not sure what she meant exactly , but I felt as she was trying to say that I am too old to appreciate the new and "fresh changes" in the public libraries" nowadays. Horrible ethics, inconvenient, rude & loud staff.. I feel sorry that in 2019 some libraries are out of place and look so ugly. The building itself is ok, I would say large enough for customers who are deprived their intellectual rights to study and dwell for book related activities in addition to...
Read morePros - What I liked: Clean. The staff is excellent, friendly. Warm in winter. The toilet is kept clean - you can see that they try. You can charge your phone or laptop. There are free computers. There is a printer. There are free English courses, but I did not like the teaching method - it is too boring and so I left after the 5th or 6th lesson. ... Now what I did not like: Cons: You have to be more vigilant there and not relax because they steal things. Basically, in the adult section there are homeless people who come in to warm up in the library. So they stole my phone and then a month later my Airpod 2 Pro headphones. So be careful when you leave your device charging. They can just take your device and leave while you are looking the other way or distracted by something. Of the minuses, only theft, but everything else is good there. P.S. It would be great if the library would work on...
