Horrible place to send your kids. The food they give the children is microwaved. That means the catered meals, both breakfast and lunch, are simply reheated in a microwave. Serving microwaved food to children every day is not healthy. They don’t even cook anything fresh. The amount of radiation exposure from constantly eating microwaved meals is concerning. If you don’t believe me, look up whether eating microwaved food every day is good for you.
The children don’t learn or engage in meaningful activities. It’s all based on whether the teachers feel like doing something that day. There’s no consistency, no structure.
Staff call out constantly, and the daycare is always short-handed. This leads to children being shuffled around, never settled in their own classroom, and lacking the stability and consistency they need with their teachers.
The furniture is old and outdated. The owner clearly doesn’t invest in the business. There are no proper classrooms, it’s just an open space. How are children supposed to learn, and how are teachers supposed to teach, with all the distractions and noise around them? The toys are worn out. The strollers used to transport the children are broken and unsafe, which could easily lead to accidents. The owner seems focused only on getting paid and it shows.
I did a walk-through with the director and couldn’t believe what I saw. I honestly don’t understand how parents leave their children in an environment like this. There’s no real structure. Everything looks thrown together, and the teachers seem to be doing the best they can with very little. I’ve visited many daycares, and this is by far the worst I’ve seen. I truly don’t know how this place is still open. How does the city consider this facility fit for children?
Do not bring your kids here. It’s a horrific,...
Read moreI just want to say everyone experience is different. With my Son it has been great. My son been with the daycare since he was 6 months old. At first I was very nervous and scared because you hear so many bad rumors about putting you child in daycare. But I had to go back to work and I had no one to take care of my child so I have no choice. But surprisingly it was the best experience for my son and I. My son never leaves there with a wet or dirty diaper. He felt in love with each teacher he was given, from Lisa to Kim to Anna and Shannon and now with Ms. Em who he adores dearly. They each took care of my child as if he was their own. They learned my child likes and dislikes and how to put him to sleep with ease. And they always make sure he eats. I was very scared with that. Once my son gets there he jumps out his stroller to run to them and his peers. He has made many of friends and it has help in even on the outside when I take him to the park. He has learn to share and draw. Art and crafts which he loves. Every month he comes home with a big folder with all the work he did in that past month. They take them on trips and to the park. I cannot said anything bad because they have been so good to my son and I. Even the staff Rosa and Stephanie. I appreciate each and every one of you ladies and I am so happy Knowing my son is at such a safe place. Most importantly you want people who gonna take care of your child with love because taking care of children is not an easy job. You need to have major patiences and love what you do. I recommend this daycare to all parents. Especially if they start there from young, the younger the better. Thank you...
Read moreOur two daughters have both attended Friends and Family, and our experience over the years has been consistently excellent. We first enrolled our oldest daughter when she was about 1.5 years old, and she stayed until she transitioned to a 3K program at another school. Our youngest followed the same path, starting at Friends and Family around the same age and staying until just last month.
Throughout our time there, we’ve always had a great feeling about the team. The teachers are kind, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the well-being of the children. They strike a wonderful balance—gentle and nurturing, but also firm when needed—and our girls have been very happy and comfortable with all of them.
Communication with parents is strong, both in person and through the ClassDojo platform, where they regularly share updates and pictures of the day’s activities. It gave us real peace of mind to know what our daughters were doing and how engaged and joyful they seemed.
We recently heard that a few negative reviews had been posted, and we felt compelled to share our own very positive experience. This daycare has been a wonderful place for our family, and we recommend it...
