Go & Gift Warehouse (Bangladeshi,Indian,Pakistani Clothing) — Local services in New York

A friend of mine is getting married in less than a week and made last minute arrangements regarding the reception, so I had to rush to find a location to purchase a Kurta for the ceremony. Shaheen, one of the store managers, was such major help for me in that process.

The first plus that I would like to state is that most Indian clothing stores in NYC closes between 7-8 pm which is not ideal for someone working late, but this location was opened until 12 am! Both Shaheen, and the 2nd staff who assisted me, were so patient and dedicated to helping me find the right option.

My friend, who is the bride, wanted all the guests to wear a variation of green - and they walked me through several options until finding the right one for me. I am a very tall guy, so unfortunately, one of the items I wanted wasn't in my size, but the staff patiently looked for an alternative that would suit me quite well, so that satisfied me. With that said, they have a rather beautiful selection of Kurtas and Jodhpuris and for a price that is very affordable compared to competitors.

I do wish that this location sold jutti and other types of shoes to go with their clothing as well, because I would certainly buy it. Nevertheless, that doesn't affect my review for the reason of the outstanding service they provided, their selections and pricing.

Regarding the Kurta itself, XL fit my build very comfortable, it's not too loose nor too toght. The material for this particular kurta felt sturdy. I got the vest 1 size smaller but it was flexible enough for me to move nicely. The churidar pants fits - it was a bit tight getting my ankles through, but nevertheless the seams held together. It might be a bit tough if you have bigger calves however.

I came here in need of three kurtas for my first Indian wedding. I had a very vague idea of what I needed and I am so thankful that I chose to come here to shop! The staff was so helpful and patient with me, and after trying out a couple different options we found all three outfits for the different wedding functions. And the prices were hard to beat considering the good quality of the clothing! If I find myself in need of another kurta or a modi vest or anything I will definitely return...

I saw some ads about this place and decided to check them out because they advertise that they are a warehouse and that they offer the Lowest price. However after visiting them I found that prices are same as regular stores or even more. Also the selection is not as huge as they make it seem. And also I felt the sales people were a little too pushy. Overall very disappointed at the prices and selection and their dishonest advertising. Your better of going to Jackson heights and...
