Guaranteed Alarm & Glass — Local services in New York

Gotta say, I’ve used Guaranteed Alarms for literally decades, and I have always recommended it to everyone I know, but I’m not happy with the latest service I received. Three days ago I came to install my front only dash-cam that I’ve purchased online. Seemed like a simple job. The work was done in a quick 45 minutes. All seem good until I left and parked my car. Parking Monitor did not turn on. I called the shop again, and didn’t complain, but asked about the issue, and was told they have been doing this stuff for years, and they did everything correctly. I was told to contact manufacturer. I did, and got clear instructions by manufacturer to check the fuse box connections, and lo and behold, one wire was incorrectly connected. Switched it and all is working fine. Not a huge deal but just a heads up. Other than that the shop has a good reputation and I would still recommend it to others.

Update: thank you for your quick and insightful response. Perhaps you skipped through my post and missed a part where I said that I purchased my dash cam online. If your installers are not responsible for connecting a wire to a wrong fuse, then I guess it’s manufacturer’s...

I don't usually right reviews but this one is a must. Let me start with the service and knowledge of these guys. They know what they are doing but beyond that they relate to your situation. My Mercedes Benz SL 500 came with the stock stereo system. Speakers lacked quality & loudness. Right away Vadim suggested options in order to improve the sound in my car. Beyond that, he took me to another car to demonstrate another audio system in the car and asked if it's something that I would be interested in. We decided to swap out all the speakers in my car. Add an amp and a sub. Dropped of the car Tuesday afternoon, told me it will be ready Wednesday evening. Wednesday morning called me with a suggestion of going to a slightly more expensive amp for better quality. I trusted his decision. Later that day I went to pick up my car, I must say I fell in love with it all over again. Professional work, communication and shop.Definitely recommend them for anyone looking to improve their sound systems...

I saw some side steps for a Jeep Wrangler JL Unlmtd posted on offer up and decided to give it a shot. The seller was extremely nice. When I asked for. The address, he let me know it was actually a shop about an hour away from me. After informing the seller how far and difficult it would be for me to get out to Coney Island (from north jersey) with such a busy schedule, he guarenteed he’d have me in and out before work first thing in the morning! And they lived up to the hype. They were extremely nice and professional. Showed me some of the work they’ve done over years and I’m nothing more than happy about my new side steps at a GREAT PRICE! Had me in and out within 30 minutes. Everyone said hello and good morning, and most importantly, they did great work! I’ll gladly take the drive again to come back for a few other items we spoke about. LOVE the owners. In 30 minutes they made a great lasting impression. Thank you to the team at Guarenteed Alarms....
