I was looking for a day spa for my mom that would include more than just a facial or massage. After searching for quite some time the entire south Brooklyn area, I found only two decent places offering spa package services that have a presentable luxury interior. MK was one of them. My mom said she had a fantastic experience; starting with a warm greeting, she was escorted to a modern room, where Bella did her magic. Our spa package for $200 included a full facial, collagen eye mask, one-hour massage, sea salt scrub, and body wrap. Note: they offer a package for $150 (half-day spa, which includes only 30 min massage), but since I bought two gift cards for $100 each, I chose among other services for $50 (added another 30 min of full body massage and collagen mask). My mom claimed it to be of her best spa experiences. Note: they have a shower and also provide you with disposable underwear, something not every reputable salon does. I decided to check the spa studio myself. I got one hour massage. The touch was both strong and smooth, intuitive yet also adaptable. I like a lot of pressure, and she used the perfect amount and checked in a few times to ensure it was good. I was extremely relaxed. My entire body felt wonderful after. I got both muscle relief and mental relaxation. It definitely worth every penny. Compared to other spa centers in the area, MK wins...
Read moreFinding a perfect spa is like finding the perfect mate… you want the love and attention and make sure you are left relaxed and worry free. MK esthetics is THAT perfect mate. I had come here based on the reviews and friend’s recommendations which have exceeded my expectations. I had No appointment and walked in on a Sunday at the start of their day. The front receptionist signed me in and walked me to one of their beautiful and very clean massage rooms. I requested a 60 min deep tissue and a 30 min foot massage.
Let’s start with my masseuse, Lisa, who was just a gem. She had the perfect combo of strong and soft touch which helped alleviate all the tension in my lower back and neck but also relaxed all the muscles in my body. The hot stone massage and the stretches was the cherry on top. Following the deep tissue massage, I got dressed and we moved on to the comfortable recliners in the front of the spa for the foot massage. Let’s just say my feet have never felt this soft and relaxed in a very long time… I could barely get out of the chair…
I have to say this is a hidden gem and a must visit. I am now going to be a loyal customer and I can’t rave enough about Lisa’s miracle touch.
Points to keep in mind: parking in the area is harsh… Uber in or arrive 5-10 mins early of your appointment time. Tips are expected in cash only…. And please...
Read moreHow dare you ask me to leave MORE tip? I left your employee a 24% tip. I do not care what you think I should tip. That is up to my discretion. I can give you $0 tip if I want. If you can’t afford to pay your workers, that’s a management problem. I do not care to leave you 100% tip and I will not. Very inappropriate. This is an average chinese massage place. Your masseurs are not extraordinary. They are average. They are loud. They have very long nails (especially the men), and it is not a peaceful experience. I still left a 24% tip. There is 20 other chinese massage places in the neighborhood, If we chose to come to your establishment, be thankful. I am a customer coming to receive a massage. I am not here to pay your workers a salary. That is the owners job. Sounds like a management issue to me. Again, I can pay for the service and leave too if I wanted. Do not be rude because people will be rude back. I should’ve taken my $10 back. I am not responsible for paying your employee masseurs a salary. A tip is a tip...
