This store has the worst management team ever!! The only reason I continue to shop in this store is because it's right behind my building, I have posted plenty of pictures showing how this store has outdated stuff on their shelves. If you look close enough at the meat you can tell it was dipped in beef blood to make it look fresh, sometimes the bacon is beige, bottles of oil have white clouds in them, the hot food they use for breakfast and lunch deals are either outdated or about to be outdated.
If you do choose to buy their meat or buy they're hot food keep in mind what I have posted when your stomach starts bubbling later on at night or you get stomach cramps that their hot food and meats are outdated. You can also tell when you buy the meat when it's a beautiful red and leave it in your refrigerator over night just to see that it turned beige or you bring it home open it and the other side of the meat (the side you can't see when it's packaged up) is beige.
It's ridiculous how anything on sale is outdated or a couple of days before being outdated. They also put up signs showing something is one price but when it gets rung up on the register it's another price. It's the same with sales, the sign says one thing but you get charges something else. This is because a large majority of the people by in bulk and don't go through their receipt when they get home.
I do not recommend shopping at this Ideal store until they change all the top management, unless it's a privately owned Ideal store, in that case do not shop here it's bad for your health and your bank account. DON'T YOU...
Read moreGiven changes to the store over time, especially in relation to pricing, it is now very rare to get decent pricing. While inflation and a bad economy is impacting everyone, some stores will increase prices more than others. Sadly, Ideal Food Basket has become one of those stores where increases are well above average.
Once every few months, you may get a decent price on bagged chicken leg quarters, though for pretty much everything else, pricing is higher than most other locations. Furthermore the sale paper is no longer a reliable indicator of getting a good deal, since a loophole to providing a more enticing sale to get people into the store, is to list an item on sale, then place a "correction" on the shelf, directing the user to a different item, often a smaller version, for example, a sale on a 32oz bottle of ketchup, that turns out to really be for a 20oz bottle. While there is no way to truly tell if it is intentional or a honest mistake, in my opinion, it seems more intentional given that the "mistakes" always lean in one direction. Think about it, when was the last time a "mistake" leaned in a direction that gave the shopper a better than expected deal. Typically with errors, you are likely to get a random distribution of results, but when errors and mistakes pretty much always lean in one direction, then it hints at some level of intentionality...
Read more1 Star for 2 MAIN CONCERNS. IF you decide to shop here, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES. They have SOOOO many expired items at this location, itâs disgusting! Mostly all of the Yogurtâs have expired & theyâre all still up for people to buy & possibly get sick. You guys need to throw them out ASAP! Most of the fruits & vegetables are not fresh. This has been an issue for quite some time now. Peppers, Zucchini, Onions, etc LOOK & FEEL old & wrinkly. Sadly, people have posted reviews about expired items & rotten produce from 4-7 years ago. STILL REFLECTS in 2023. Wow! Yâall seriously have to do better. 2nd reason is the young girls that work the cashiers. Eyy Yai Yai! They will literally finish their conversation before ringing you up. They will see you there, look at you & keep talking to the other girls. Rude! This has happened on several occasions. We are paying customers & we deserve respect. This supermarket is not worth it. You can get way better deals, & better customer service elsewhere. We wonât be shopping here anymore. Youâve...
