Hip Hop Burger — Restaurant in New York

Gave the place a try for the first time. Customer service is lacking/confusing.

Some guy appeared at the counter, no introduction, just asked can he help me. As I was ordering a chicken sandwich, the cashier? appeared asking what his coworker (now identified as the cook) was doing. The cashier took over. I ordered a chicken sandwich fries and a caramel shake

After over 20 minute wait they just called my name and left my bag on the counter. No thank you. No enjoy. No hope to see you again. No customer service period.

Chicken sandwich was decent though dry. The meat was seasoned, but there was very little sauce on the bun. It was dry.

Milkshake tasted ok. It was really small and overpriced. It was simple l… nothing more than caramel syrup mixed into vanilla.

Fries- oily and limp/soggy. They were supposed to be regular fries. Seemed like they were fried in the same oil that they fry other items in… so the seasoning/ breading from other items fried in the same oil tranferred to the fries… NO BUENO!

I tried to love this place, but so far I can’t.

After thought—-after all the pomp and circumstance… the location and the time they took to open AND being in the Rochdale Village mall, it should have been a dine in establishment with take out as an option (even the Dunkin’ Donuts and the Chinese restaurant offers/ed dine...

Smh I waited and contemplated and the kids went back to school today and I took off work and here we go. Fries barely cooked with light seasoning ( Cajun where) upon entering minutes after they opened a young lady was at the register on the phone she greeted me with a smile after the call. She took my order and I said I would be back in 15 min. When I returned my bag was at the register but no one was there. Someone came out and made my shake ( butter pecan ) don't recommend it taste artificial. They dont blend it its one of those shake machines..... the cat fish was ok a little salty. The worst thing was the burger smh dry meat with too much sauce that the bun did it no justice. No way would I return because this was a thursday no one else was there I should have gotten top notch lunch. Rochdale can't keep a restaurant because of quality we willing to pay to stay in the community but no one is delivering. I honestly would have been better off getting a whopper and fries from burger King. My husband always say we need to support the community but not when they serve...

Hip Hop Burger is my go-to every time I’m in Queens - the food never disappoints!! The catfish nuggets are ALWAYS perfect and they’re one of the highlights of the menu. The wings paired with their hot honey sauce are mouthwatering. The hot honey sauce is so good I can literally drink it.

The staff is friendly and efficient, which always makes the experience even better. It’s clear they take pride in their food and service, and that makes a big difference.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and stop by next time you’re in the area. It’s one of those spots that just gets it right every time - from the food to the music vibe. Definitely worth making...
