Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in New York

On 4/28/25 @ 7:30pm the following incident occurred at the Dunkin Donuts/ Baskin Robbins in Rochdale Village. I walk in with my two young daughters expecting to get ice cream but we faced discrimination instead. The establishment was not busy. The female employee just finished ringing up a customer. I was next, and before I made my purchase I asked for 2 flavor samples of ice cream, 1 for each of my daughters (1 pistachio, and 1 baseball nut). (1st red flag was the way she handed us the spoon it almost fell because she was rushing and had an attitude). My daughters tasted the sample and we were asking to taste another we looked up and she was off in the back (2nd red flag). I had to call her back, I asked for 2 more different flavors samples and she refused. She then proceeded to tell me we were only allowed to have 1 sample and no more (3rd red flag). I told her I’ve never heard of that at any Dunkin/ Baskin Robins . She said it was from the company. I said “ok, then I guess I would not be able to make a purchase ( because we were trying to decide the flavor). I walked out not willing to argue and keep it going. This female employee was EXTREMELY RUDE AND NEEDS TRAINING ON CUSTOMER SERVICE also needs to check her moral compass maybe she has had annoyances in the past with previous customers asking for many samples and not making purchases, or whatever ,as the employee you need to give attention to customers, and their requests or it is a liability for the company because you are loosing business, customers, and reputation. No need to lie and be rude. Go to work ready and willing, I left this location extremely annoyed and my little daughters were so disappointed. I had to explain to them about patronizing business that treat their customers with respect, kindness, and great...

They are advertising this offer on the TV screen inside the location it clearly states the offer . You order 2 scoops you get a free waffle cone . I asked before I placed the order and was told yes …the woman behind the counter made the order and proceeded to the cash register. She charged me for the scoops and the cone i asked her why did she charge me for the cone and showed her the offer she stated she needed to call her manager . He tells her that’s only online … how is this offer ONLINE ONLY? How do you order a cone online? The screen does not say ONLINE ONLY ! If it was ONLINE ONLY WOULDN’T the offer be online? This place is a SCAM! BIG SCAM ! False advertisement...

The brown lady that took my order laughed at my accent. Then when I told her what I wanted she lied that it wasn't on the menu. I switched my order to a smoothie and it was the worst Smoothie I ever had. She used a brown banana! I had to throw it away. Save your money and buy from somewhere else. It's not worth the insult nor horrible food quality.

Also worst donut ever. I don't know what this specific establishment is doing but the donuts tasted like they were made 3 days prior. I threw the donut out as well. Money wasted. I'd give zero...
