Xinbao — Restaurant in New York

This local Chinese restaurant is the WORSE! Last summer 2023 the entire restaurant repped of a fowl smell, seriously unbearable. I refused to accept my pick up order that day after encountering those conditions. I just thought… maybe the garbage just wasn’t taken out but I didn’t want to chance it because the smell was potent. This restaurant called me harassing me trying to force me to come back, pick up and pay for the order. I tried to politely remind them that I am a long term customer and I didn’t feel comfortable with what they were asking of me. But I was also still trying to assure them that I’d be willing to support them and buy food once the smell cleans up. After that conversation my number was flagged and banned i have only been able to order delivery or pick up items from my boyfriends phone number. Xin Bao is my local Chinese takeout spot & I order nearly every day for lunch. The veggies have great variety and are never overcooked, the "House" brown sauce isn't too salty, & the protein always tastes great! My 2 favorites are the shrimp with broccoli & the beef with mixed veggies (they also offer "Chinese veggies" as an option, always clarify which one you want). Sometimes I order my special: beef with onions and mushrooms (not on the menu). Xin Bao is reasonably priced, though they have a slightly more expensive dinner menu. I always get the hot mustard & "duck sauce" and egg roll with my meal. Politeness goes a long way, treating the people at the window respectfully & politely has never caused any issues for me with their customer service or willingness to make changes to the food I order.

This is a good Chinese restaurant to order food from,the chicken wings are good ,there chicken and broccoli with chicken fried rice and eggs is also very tasty, and it happens to be one of my favorites Chinese dishes. They also give you nice size portions of food. Meaty piece's of white meat chicken inside the chicken fried rice & chicken & broccoli.I also ordered pineapple chicken & white rice, which was very flavorful.
