I'm trying this african food for the first time bc my friend was hungry and halfway through... WOW, smashed yam was good. I finally bit into the goat meat, and it was NoT tender but tough. Nevertheless I wanted to be authentic in my review, so I kept going until I started to chew some kind of metal in my mouth. Oh Nonono. šŸ‘¦ So I spit it out with the bone. WT Looks like aluminum or some type of silver. The chef has to be way more careful, or someone could get hurt or be sued. Be aware, stay alert āš ļø eat with caution. Good luck.

Had the Egusi soup with goat meat, along with jolof rice. Yes, I mixed the two, rather than getting white rice. Disclaimer: I'm not Nigerian. The woman who took my order was appalled..lol, but I love those flavors together. Probably the best Egusi I've had thus far, it was really hot and fresh. The jolof rice was not the best I've had, but together they were a winning team. I must also add, the food is on the pricey side compared to the portions. But going back for Egusi soup very soon.

Ok Im visiting NY from Georgia I wanted some authentic African food. I googled African food and first one popped up. So I figured I would give it a try and when I tell you this is the best that would be an understatement. Everyone was so pleasant. What I loved the most is when I said I did not need a bag the lady nope you will not walk out with my food, I felt so happy to hear that all that means is presentation is everything, she takes pride in her food. So now Im home trying to figure out do I need to go back her more for a late night meal.

I pray nothing but blessings over this place....

As much as I wish I had a good review to writeā€¦ I donā€™t. Iā€™ve only tried the okra soup from here, and the both times Iā€™ve tried it, it was poorly made. Like very bad. The okra is cut so big that you can choke on it with your swallow. The soup and stew have barely any flavor and the meat is sooo bland. I ordered 2 okra soups with pounded yam, and I spent $44 for that food and it went straight in the garbage. I can only speak about the okra, maybe the other meals taste good, but I Certainly tell you the okra is like a 0/10, so if you come order something else and pray it...

Chaii This Woman Can Cook!!!! INFACT If you can ask for Traditional foods.. you will appreciate her more!!!! I don't review but I have to on this one!!! Tho they have strong personalities like some of other reviews I have read online.... I enjoyed their company....

The Woman and her daughter were so nice!! I laughed throughout the time I was there I even ordered to go while eating!!! LOL!! No one forced me to do review because I barely review businesses!!!
