John's Farm Market is located on the footprint of a closed Walgreens, that stood on the footprint of an old supermarket, "Little Giant", from the 1980's. It is conveniently placed especially for those of us the live closer to Murdock Avenue, further away from the MET Foods adjacent the Rock. However, this ease of access is/has been upset by one too many times of having to return goods to the establishment. I have purchased milk that previously had to be returned because it was sold way past expiration, cheese and even Florida Natural OJ. This is upsetting and a bit disrespectful. They are well staffed so food rotation and elimination is what protects the consumer in an establishment that sales food to the public. I would not give it a one star rating because all the employees that work there are very polite. I've never had an issue with a return but this cannot become systemic. I regularly travel outside of my neighborhood to shop at Wholefoods, (believe it or not for better prices and QUALITY), taking my dollars into another community, if I had it my way I'd rather not do that. John's Farm Market should step it up just a bit for their buying public or that public will begin to make an exodus. Respect the community you set up shop in, provide fair prices and quality of goods. No one should ever return food so regularly due to it beginning to decompose. And for any reader that thinks maybe I should have inspected it better before I took it to the counter, my responses are 1. I shouldn't have to 2. There were more than one container of past due milk, bags of past sell date cheese and a row of juices past sell date. 3. Also after a long day at work rushing in and out of the grocery store shouldn't be so stressful. This needs to change!

I usually drive all the way to Long Island to go to Pat's farms for my fruits and veggies. When John's showed up after walgreens closed I was skeptical. I went in there on Saturday (after they have been opened for to months) and I planned to be completely judgemental. Jokes on me, this place is awesome. There are fruits and veggies in there that I've only seen after taking them through costumes from a trip from Jamaica. The prices are also very fair. Since Saturday, I've been 3 times. But dont tell anyone because I'd like to keep this place to myself :)

Today at 07-11-2025 3:30 ish I was in this supermarket and there was some misunderstanding between a customer and the manger is the Korean tall guy who was there about a box of mango and the sign say 9ps and in the box there was 8 ps. So this lady was asking them why the sign say 9ps and then they began to argue really loud. As a manager he was supposed to make customers feel happy but this guy was arguing back with the lady and that very bad customer service, another thing too this guy had always have been like this arguing with customers like he have no sense how to handle his duty. And make the lady say that she will called ICE to go to this store now I feel very bad if she dose that because a lot of people there need a job but again this guy should know better.and speaking about employees a lot time I go there and see the way he talks to his employees very Rude. I work for the HR department and if there’s any complaints from that store that I have to know about I’m personally taking this case up, because I have seen the way he speak to people. I talk to some of the cashier there but they look scared to do anything about it. And I hope that the owner of this store can do something about this situation as well because I personally love this store. but if there’s a bad management I...

Their oxtail is terrible it looks fresh but it hard to cook & it has a horrible smell 😫 to it. I cooked it but could not eat it it taste awful don't know what this meat is but it's not oxtail I bought oxtail from John's farm before but this is a strange oxtail smell terrible I had to throw it away .Bought a bag for $100 . In the back by the fish department .I made my purchase on February 5.I used half of the bag of oxtail on February 29, while doing so it smell awful I called the store to give them a feed back I was told by Kevin 1 of the owner to come with the remainder of the oxtail & the proof of purchase this i did he informed me that I waited too long to come back .I said I did not cook it the same day it's a frozen item that can stay for a long time.he still has the same product in the freezer in the store that he is still selling but is telling me that I keep my oxtail too long .this is a store that doesn't like to refund the consumer money so I leave it with him Kevin because I love oxtail but couldn't eat this foul smelly meat ! hard to cook meat it looks red & fresh but no good buyer be aware they won't offer you a refund. Their coustmer service is horrible. I am very dissatisfied this is a store that I support a lot...
