Lady Flamingo — Local services in New York

Went fishing about a week ago and decided to try out this fishing party boat for blues. It was my first time fishing but I went with two other experienced fishers. The boat had about 20-30 people. Their website states that you have to wear gloves and a face covering. There are signs that say no smoking inside the indoor deck. None of these "rules" were enforced. There were people smoking inside the desk.. We are also in the middle of a pandemic. Why was my group the only people who were adhering to the face mask policy? Not even the crew wore them... they didn't have a COVID tracing system either in place because they didn't have a roster of who was on board. I know this because they went around just asking for payment, no names or contact information. I was really taken aback about this and also that these preventative measures weren't being taken/enforced. Ok well in regard to fishing, nobody caught anything and my group blames it on the captain as he was taking us around but stood around the coast. He never went towards like the sea where the larger fish would of been. The crew was great, they were very helpful and nice but the captain didn't do a good job captaining. He kept saying the fish just weren't biting because of the weather. Almost nobody caught anything. The cost was 80 dollars pp and 10 dollars for the pool. The site says arrive at 6:30am but we didn't leave until almost 8am because there were issues with the generator of the boat. I had a decent day because of the experience but it wasn't worth it. Don't recommend this...

I’ve been on plenty of fishing trips before and this was by far the worst! The captain drove the boat for 90% of the trip! We only ever stopped for MAX 8 Minutes out of those 7 HOURS! He would steer for 30 mns and then give us sometimes 3 minutes to “try” and catch a fish and if no one did he’d move again and again and again and again. The little times he stopped, the engine was ALWAYS ON. The only people who caught fish were the experts on the boat. Other than that barely anyone caught anything. Another thing that boat was very small for the amount of people allowed on. Everyone’s fishing lines kept on getting tangled with each other. They didn’t provide bait and this was the most expensive trip for the least provided. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. I also have a video capturing the amount of time he always gave. Since I can’t upload that, I will post a screenshot of the time duration...

This boat is the best out there in the sheepsheadbay area most likely everywhere ...not just the captain but the mates also very great crew I been on this boat like 15 times I would say one time I walk away with only 10 blues to me that's more then enough every other time we were killing them.. captain bob knows where the fish move and he goes after them.not like many other boats in the bay that play games with chasing the fish.i would highly recommend to take a chance on this boat you would not be disappointed..just WISH HE DID NIGHT FISHING ALSO....MY ONLY COMPLAINT... UNTIL I DIE I WILL ALWAYS GO ON THIS BOTH TO HAVE THE BEST TIME FISHING..also very clean...
