This place is a business miracle. the butcher management is simply bad. Meat is almost unorganized, at least they put chicken and red meat in separate sections. There is no pre-packaged or pre-wrapped meat so you have to know what you are looking for rather than visually picking up the meat.

I don't want to say anything about the butchers but the overall butcher service is not good. You may wait on that line almost forever and no one will bother explaining you why you are waiting so long. It might be the butchers are assigned to do something else or they might have an argument in between... All fine but at least show curtasey customer waiting on line. I will not get into details on sanitary details but if I just tell you that they weight the meat on the scale without any cover, while meat is slacking here and there, you can figure the rest out I guess.

So why its a business miracle? I think so because several times I had the worst shopping experience in NYC yet I returned there for business again, until...

I bought chicken thighs and chicken breast from them and they looked ok to me but when I get to the house the chickens stinks, like they have it for long time without selling it so they just give anything to whoever asks for it . And the second time I went there I bought ground beef from them and the meat that was in the front was good but when I ordered , the guy went inside the walking box and took out a bad stinky meat full of fat . Like that’s very bad thing to do because you can get a lot people sick. If inspector come to check the place I know for sure they will...

This place is amazing - it's not big, but it's PACKED with tons of great Turkish and Middle Eastern snacks, spices, mixes, and of course, a varied meat counter. The last time I went here, I took home eight or nine bottles of sour cherry juice (my favorite), a few Turkish pudding packets, Turkish pistachio chocolates, and a few other Turkish goodies. The people who work here are very friendly, and it's a great place to stock up on Middle Eastern edibles at a cheap price. Can't wait...
