EASILY the best Middle East dessert place I’ve been to in my life. Lots of variety and every piece looks like it was made with care and intention. Re: some of the reviews saying this place is too expensive. When I get baklava in Manhattan it’s like ~$5/piece. I just want to point out that it’s important to allow ethnic cuisines to be able to charge as much as their industry peers. For example, I’m pretty sure Starbucks’ pastries are way more expensive comparatively. I’d rather have these treats over Starbucks’ sweets any day.

Great pastry shop full of options from the Middle Eastern sweets , including the famous Knafeh ( best in New York by far ) with two types of knafeh the soft and the crunchy , also try the baklava and mamoul and other items . Very friendly service and they pack it and ship it for you anywhere . Highly recommended.

Wanted to give this shop a chance since I live nearby, and I'm happy to support the local business.

As I walked into the pastry shop, lady that works there quickly walked into the kitchen. I calmly waited, and glanced around goodies in the anticipation that the sales associate would help me eventually. I kept on waiting, after few minutes have passed I started feeling odd. I try to give everyone the benefit of a doubt, however at one moment I saw lady glance at me from the back of the kitchen, and she just remained there with the serious look... I walked out.

Weird. All I wanted to is get dozen Baklava's and that is it.... I felt very uncomfortable and underwhelmed. I understand people need a break, but customers should be notified of that, via sign that clarifies what to expect, at the door or a counter.

This is by no means judgement of food I imagine it's delicious. Customer service here needs...

Paradise Sweets and Bakery is a family owned business that specializes in the production of Arabic sweets, breads and candied fruits.

Not being Arabic, I wasn’t sure what to expect upon entry. However, I’ve been watching this place get built during my late night runs.

The store is divided into two spaces. The first dedicated to the retail display area. The second an area to sit and enjoy your purchased items.

After a little going back and forth, I began speaking with a manager that spoke English well enough. She was quite helpful and proud that the meticulous looking items were made on the premises.

I was then offered a sample of a product and I was hooked. It’s a phyllo dough log filled with a gentle pastry cream and finished with a sugary syrup. This item was delicious and resulted in me picking some up for home.

I look forward to my return and sampling...

After coming here for years, today (4/7/24) during Ramadan, my family and I was in the mood for a knafa tray. After placing my order, the owner who looks like Mario from super Mario bros didn’t want to serve me. I asked for Kanafa tray, pistachio and sugar syrup on the side and he said he doesn’t give anything on the side and it was literally visible behind him. He told me leave the store after I pointed it out behind him. He later told me he doesn’t serve to my kind on my way out, basically the color of my skin. I will never step foot in here again. Even the female worker was disappointed during the whole altercation. I never felt so disrespected at a food...
