I am originally from Bay Ridge but moved to Connecticut a little over 30 years ago, but my heart never left Bay Ridge after all these years. With an interest in converting to Islam, and moving back to Bay Ridge once I retire, I have been following all the live services which are shown on the website, and although I do not understand the language, it deeply resonates with me and I find the services very beautiful. The neighborhood is absolutely wonderful, looking at all the stores, etc... My mother died at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville FL. The family decided to have her body shipped to be buried in Egypt. I've contacted many funeral homes in Jacksonville for help. I was told it would take few weeks to a month to get my mother's body to Egypt. It was heartbreaking. A friend of my sister gave us the contact information for the Islamic International Funeral Home. They helped shortening the time from weeks to just few days, and charged a reasonable fee to have the remains of my mother taken care of. God bless them. Many Muslims Work in bay ridge and I’m very happy and blessed about the fact that the masjid is near all of them. The people inside the masjid are very nice and generous. The masjid itself is very clean and always smells nice. The classes they have are also very good and I just absolutely love them and feel blessed that I’m able to find a place that give such amazing Islamic classes.
