I can’t say enough wonderful things about Little Explorers (LE) in Bayside, NY. All of the teachers are so warm, personable, caring, friendly, and fun. When my first child started there right after COVID at age 2, I had all the parent worries but that quickly melted away when I saw all of the fun my daughter was having and how eagerly she rushed into LE each day.
She learned so many things- new songs, letters, counting, etc. She grew in her independence, her social skills, and basic life skills such as washing hands, cleaning up after self, listening to instructions, following routines, etc. She had fun with special celebrations that occurred at LE such as holidays or birthday celebrations. The little outdoor play area was a bonus too as this allowed for regular outdoor time (weather permitting). She loved her teachers and made lots of friends who she continued onto 3k with (and now Kindergarten!). She was so well prepared for school because of everything she learned at Little Explorers. I also felt the teachers created a very welcoming and inclusive environment where all kids were included in experiences, no kids ever appeared to be left out.
The teachers at LE do a great job of keeping parents informed and I loved the daily pictures and updates of what my kid was up to through the app. The teachers are very accessible, personable, and skilled in child development/learning.
I was so sad when my daughter finished her time at LE but felt much confidence in sending my 2nd child there for the infant program in the subsequent year. He has been there since he was 7 months old and is now 2. He loves it there just like his big sis and the gains are undeniable. It’s good to know your kids are in trusted and caring hands while also learning and growing into their best selves.
My husband and I are both in the education field, and we have so much respect for the professionalism and expertise of the teachers. They are partners in your child’s learning journey, and they are a true village as you navigate parenting young children. Our kids have grown both leaps and bounds with them, and I know LE has given them both a great head start. I am so grateful for the teachers and the rich and loving environment they provide for my...
Read moreThis week is the last week of my little one going there, so I feel that I can write a review about this place fairly. This is a little daycare only serve kids 2-4 years old, and they have another location nearby taking care of kids younger than 2. For the two years my son is in this daycare, he came home happy every single day, and loves every teacher he has.The place is clean and organized, and the curriculum is topic oriented without too much emphasized in letter learning, instead having a lot of science and art. For example, they had a camping theme two week ago. So they did shadows on Monday, Glow in the dark art on Tuesday, pretending camping with hotdog on Wednesday, s'mores sequences on Thursday, and building camp fire on Friday. I also like that teachers tried to keep them outside in the school yard whenever weather permitted. Although it was said from the beginning, I still think that the biggest downside of this daycare is no preK for kids. It was hard to look around for a preK taking similar teaching approach as this one. My kid is not easy in adjusting to a new environment, and I'm not looking forward to changing a new school for him. Also, no lunch. Packing lunch for my younger one was a little of work. Another little thing is, they are very strict with the doctor's note. My son has allergies and always having running nose and ended up to be ear infections. We always have to get a doctor's note to clear him. This is annoying but also protecting all kids in the daycare. I do think this is a great daycare, great teachers, and great location. My son waited for 4 months to get in, and I think we made the...
Read moreOur little one thrived at Little Explorers under the care of Ms. Wahida, Ms. Vicky, Ms, Geidy and Ms. Adiya. Nearly for 2 years, she was met with warmth and love by the amazing teachers everyday. The teachers create an encouraging and confidence-building environment for all the children while providing fun hands-on activities through meaningful playtime. With established routine and independence-motivating interactions instilled by the teachers, we feel truly thankful that our child has started her social learning at Little Explorers. For us, the teachers were the most important factor in choosing the right care for our child. Just the sheer number of years that Ms Wahida and Ms Vicky have been at Little Explorers spoke volumes to us, and after 2 years of zero teacher changes, we can confidently say our little girl was under the best care. She always went-in and came home with wonder-filled eyes sparkling with joy. She has entered 3K program now, and is thriving in the new school. We wholehearted believe this success is 100% owed to her wonderful experience at...
