Sadly since NY Community Hospital was taken over by another Brooklyn based small medical center It hasn’t improved becoming much worse than ever regarding patient urgency care In the waiting area I was completely all alone no one else waiting to see a Dr for medical attention at 4:45 pm Now called “Fast Track” Receptionist was professional took my Photo ID and my medical health insurance card to scan as well RN at Triage Done in 15 mins Then your told to wait in another room with “6” other people to sit on recline chairs w/ curtains dividing “3” chairs in each side of a small area In over “1” hour no one came in to exam or speak to any patient Not a Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant I finally learned a young Intern was seeing all patients in the ER packed no empty beds or seats & “Fast Track” patients I left unable to wait hour’s to be checked for my left swollen eye infection with discharge pouring out I will share my experience with Urgent Care @ Marine Park Ave U near Flatbush Ave in hopes of helping others avoid unsatisfactory way under staff small ER no longer an urgent ‼️ care at this hospital! I had signed in at 4:45 pm March 4th Saturday having to leave without seeing any physician at 6:30 with 4 patients ahead of me and “2” patients after me is unacceptable No sanitary paper on any of the exam chairs No one escorts you in as most other ER Urgent Care places who will clean wipe down recliner before sitting down after any previous person had occupied it You will leave worse then you had arrived for sure STAY AWAY

This gentleman at the front desk had to be one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered at a hospital. “Sign in” or “read the sign” instead of answering questions and the font is small. The correct way to approach is “good afternoon ma’am would you mind signing in? My apologies but x is not available it allowed. I watched him belittle visitor after visitor and be rude. I worked in front desk and admissions for years at another hospital and I’d be instantly fired if I behaved this way.

I was there from 4am - 1pm with abdominal cramps, chills, a hard time breathing, cough, cold, asthma complications.. I couldn't get any medication whatsoever. The one nurse couldn't even get blood out of one of my arms and left it bruised. During the cat scan the gel started leaking out of the IV down my arm. I finally was so fed up that I walked out. It's days later and I'm still sick

I walked into the Emergency Room on January 30th 2020 and told them .... I was hit by a car on January 15 and it took me this long to come to them because it happened out of state. I showed them my hand and theres a bone out of place. I can feel it. A blind person can see it. I explained to them it was a hit-and-run and I didn't get to see exactly what happened. I did go to the emergency room in the state that it happened but I was going to be charged $7,000 for an examination. I knew my insurance wouldn't cover it so I opted to wait to get back to New York. For more then 1 reason. After taking three x-rays their conclusion was it was an old boxer's fracture from 5 years ago.. one of the X-ray technicians ask his coworker do you believe he was hit by a car his co-workers says no. Now I guess I wasn't supposed to have heard that so I acted like I didn't then they turn to me in ask so what part of the car hit you I said the mirror. After that conversation I was escorted back to the emergency room I was discharged about a half hour later with a hand brace. Now problem is at no time was i asked was i hurt anywhere else. As I told him it happened on the 15th they're trying to tell me something from 5 yrs ago. Now what took me so long to get to New York was I suffered a broken rib and a broken foot the car mirror that hit me hit me in my ribs and threw me 10 feet from where I was standing landing on my hand flipping me over to hitting the sidewalk . I was never given a chance to explain all of that because I was stopped short with the non belief that A mirror could have done such damage to my hand. The whole time that I was there they kept telling me that it was the injury from 5 years ago no one wanted to pay mine that it was something that happened recently. I could not believe that they would literally ignore what I was telling them over what they were reading on my file from 5 years ago.. I just don't understand how hard is it to listen to your patients and not make an assumption over what you're reading. I posted a picture of what my hand look like the day of the accident. Yes i have to go to another hospital because no one would listen. I was hit by a car I was already a victim I went to the hospital and felt even more like a victim.. if you're in this hospital and you notice that they're talking at you and not with you you should leave.. I used to speak highly of this Hospital and I used to recommend this hospital to just about anyone now I send out a red flag of caution to anyone that goes to this Hospital. I hope somebody in the ministrative office reads this and takes action before someone dies from neglect from people that are so proud to call themselves...

my husband and I arrived in an emergency room with a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius. We counted on urgent assistance from the medical staff. But instead we got NOTHING! In addition to us, there were only 2 more patients, but this did not prevent the medical staff from keeping us for more than 3 hours without assistance! We burned from the temperature, but we were not offered any pills to remove the temperature. My husband had to go to the doctor 3 times and ask for at least something to make us feel better. One got the impression that it was not a doctor, but a passer-by, because sometimes he hung out for a while to think. As a result, he gave us the usual Tylinol, which did not help us! At the same time, he presented all this, that he supposedly needed to write out a prescription first, and only then would he order the nurse to give it to us. Are you seriously??? Tylinol prescription that I can freely buy at any gas station? Also, we were not even offered to do x-ray. We had to ask ourselves to do it. As a result, before doing this, I had to take a pregnancy test. The test, which is done in 2 minutes, took them 2 hours!!!!!! And only when we began to lose our temper, it turned out that there was a result)) In general, we were left without medical care, without results, with a huge misunderstanding of how to work like this !!! are you doctors or what??? Or do you really care about people? you can only count money by exposing crazy bills for something you can’t cope with !!! I can write many more nuances, such as: they began to reproach us that people are waiting and more usually (I agree if there are other patients in the emergency room); the doctor was constantly sitting at the computer, he didn’t care at all what was happening around him; to our request to send the results by mail - we received a refusal; when asked if our attending doctor could get the results, they reluctantly gave a phone number, but our doctor never received anything .... I highly recommend DON'T GO HERE!! Unprofessional, indifferent workers here!! And I want to wish the staff to find a job that you will like! Otherwise, do not cripple people and do not take up space for...

If you can help it, do not come here for emergency services. The doctors could not care any less about patient experience and the same is true for the majority of the nurses here.

I have never been so humiliated and disregarded by medical staff in my life. Internal communication is ABYSMAL and no matter how articulately you try to advocate for yourself, they WILL find a way to misunderstand and ignore you. Absolutely no sense of urgency, no sense of decorum, no bedside manner, and no clue how to treat human beings here. It's not just one or two unfortunate experiences, it's a systemic and consistent issue.

In particular, the extraordinarily arrogant, hard headed, and cruel pain management doctor I had to deal with while I was here has utterly ruined my mental health whilst being here. I came in with severe nerve pain as a result of spinal issues and despite my concerns, he took me off medication my regular pain management prescribes to me for a reason! He called it "tough love" (verbatim quote! And entirely inappropriate) and absolutely disregarded my severe pain levels. I couldn't even walk coming into the ER - denying me medication while acting like providing me necessary treatment is doing me some sort of favor is absurd. His disgusting and paternalistic attitude degraded the quality of my care even further. Then, he had the audacity to make unprofessional overtures about the doctor I currently see and attempted to poach me as a patient! Even if I ultimately need to change doctors, it'd be a cold day in HELL before I ever went to the care of a doctor who is completely unable to listen to VALID patient concerns for more than five minutes. I don't believe I've ever had a more vile experience with a doctor.

I will be filing a formal complaint with the state of NY, not only over the phone but by mail as well - that's how severe the situation is. The experience I have had here makes me want to go through the trouble of filing complaints at every possible level.

Spare yourself the pain and degradation of coming into this ER. other departments in the hospital may be better but this? Is an...
