During the boarding process had to experience several minor errors with Mars, but today 12/28 I had the worst and selfish experience ever received. I arrived at the center by 7.55pm (5 minutes before front desk closing and the staff was already packed up ready to leave). I go straight to the elevator and enter my code. For some reason my code is not working. I walked back at 7.58pm by the Front Desk to ask for help and the Security person stopped me at the door telling me that the office is closed. I keep asking for help explaining that my code is not working, all front desk employees looked at me and walked out of the door at 8pm sharp not caring a second about my issue not even asking what the issue was. After they left, I kept talking with the Security person asking if there was any number to call to have help during extra hours and he said that nobody can help me at 8pm and I have to come back next day. I had a very heavy suitcase with me to store and I was almost leaving very frustrated but I decided to find a solution by myself not convinced that Public Storage did not have a solution. So I called Customer Service and very easily there was a way to retrieve my code by text recognizing my phone number. Finally I was able to store my package and leave the center. I am very very upset with all employees during that shift not trained properly: they did not informed me about the electronic way to retrieve my code, I had to figure out by myself not listening to the Security suggestion to leave and all Front Desk employees stopping to assist clients before 8pm and leaving the job staring at me careless of my problem that would have taken 2 second to be resolved.

Read moreThey overcharged my storage unit fee for April (by 1.5x). Instead of refunding me, they assured me that the overcharge would carry forward and apply to future fees, and I wouldn't owe for the next month and a half. I was assured that was still the case on April 28 when I came in to see if I owed anything on my bill. On May 3rd, my code was inactive and I went to see a manager to pay. I was assured that I didn't owe anything, that they'll make a note in the file and open a ticket. On May 4th, I suddenly owe for May PLUS a late fee for not paying by the 3rd. No, they won't let me access my unit even to just clean it out/empty it until I pay up. No, they won't even write an email to get me a refund for the overcharges until I pay up. No, there's no note, no ticket, no email on this. If they weren't holding my work laptop hostage in the storage unit, I would have just walked out. At this point, I've paid 3x the actual storage unit rent for both Apr + May...Needless to say, I closed the unit the minute I emptied it, and of course, I had to ask a 2nd time for the move out email confirmation after they "sent" it the 1st time. So, TL;DR: Employee 1 (E1) "accidentally" overcharges me, E2 + E3 runs out the clock on me paying on time, E4 - just straight...
Read moreHad an awesome experience renting for the first time! Lord was super helpful at helping me find just the right size unit, super accommodating and friendly, and even spotted me a few days later to give me a wave. Thereâs also a great young man who I think may be a manager (?) who I noticed consistently was very cheerful and always staying on top of things, doing rounds checking on units etc.
The storage itself has a lot of size options, but Iâm not sure I understand the price difference on higher floors. There is a DRAMATIC price difference between the cellar and higher floors like the 9th, so beware. I also will warn there is no cell service on lower floors which can be annoying, especially if youâre trying to communicate with someone moving stuff, but is on the higher floors.
Unfortunately they are not 24 hours, or even until midnight, which would be super helpful and I hope theyâll consider at some point.
Overall; pretty good, all of the staff Iâve met has been super great (thanks again, Lord!), and itâs an...
