updated on 3/23/2017. I just received a very STRANGE "Explanation of Benefits". Not only the insurance said they will not cover any of my bill, but they double my bill, which means, (I went to that clinic twice on that claim day, but actually I ONLY went to the clinic ONE time on that day). At the same time, they showed some weird formula and give me some "discount", which make me still need to pay more than the original bill!!!(and the fake "discount" just want to tell me, I am better than what I should be) Because as I said, I ALREADY paid the bill myself, and I just checked with the clinic and clinic's parent company. I DO NOT OWE any money!! Now, seems like they are trying to make a fraudulent bill and try to threat me! If you don't think I am qualify for the insurance coverage, and you don't want to pay me, I am fine. But PLEASE don't make nonsense or fraudulent statement, thank you! BE CAREFUL! NEVER hear anything back from ISO. And I also reply the email that I received from Claim Analyst Ms. Horner, and NEVER hear anything back. If ISO really want to be nice, and "process" my case, it should contact me through phone or email, but not just simply wrote this kind of irresponsible reply. Haha, how funny! REALLY BAD! I am an international student who is in my OPT status. I have to buy the insurance myself instead of buying the international student insurance from school. This is a really BAD insurance company. First of all, their customer services is not easy to access and you have to be prepared you will waste lots of your time. Then, even though you talk to them, they will try to kick the ball to the clinic or the hospital, such as "oh, we didn't hear back from the XXX clinic, we didn't receive the doctor's record". But after I verify with my clinic, they said they already faxed to them! I repeated calling my clinic and the ISO back and forth many times. Third, if use the analogy to describe this insurance company, is really like a bad boy try to fool a girl. It is when he wants you to purchase their insurance, he will try his best to please you and write everything perfect on his official website without notifying lots of exceptions and restrictions. But after you buy it, he just never respect the "girl"(customers). I really need to divorce with ISO immediately!!! Fourth (and what's worse), in order to protect my credit history, I have to pay the bill myself. I already PAID myself. I can hardly find one reason to buy ISO, but I can find a hundred reasons not to buy it. If you really have much money to waste, I think dump your money into the stock market is wiser and more valuable. Read moreThey are irresponsible. When I called customer care to buy the insurance, they told everything along with eye and dental will be covered. After the appointment was done with ophthalmologist, they are denying that my insurance will not cover. I asked them annoyingly twice while buying and they are denying it. Some other appointments, they told it is a pre existing condition and they are not going to cover. If it was pre existing condition, why would I go to a doctor after 8 months from the day that I bought the insurance ? Totally sense less. I was using this insurance since 1 year and they did not spend a single dollar on my 7 doctor visits. Me: Will it at-least cover accidents ? Ex: When I met with an accident while driving a car? REP: We will cover when no other insurance will cover it.
WOW!! . Wonderful. The most irritating customer reps I have ever spoken with. I need to repeat my self several times to make her understand a simple questions and I have to provide multiple different examples to get answers.
WORST of the worst customer service. I don't want to loose my money to worthless insurance.
