Absolutely unorganized, they make their patients wait for an unbearable amount of time. I scheduled my appointment for the morning and was not attended until 3 hours later. I was put in a waiting room then called on, just to be taken to a smaller waiting room. What is the point of an appointment if I will not be attended along the same hour that we agreed for me to be seen??? I am now leaving the hospital after being in there for 5 HOURS!! THIS IS INSANE. The front desk in the 6th floor seem to dread the job as well. They constantly have an attitude with the patients. Even the ones who ask simple questions… this hospital needs to do better. On top of that, I had to wait for a paper to be printed for 30 mins. There’s only a few staff that actually do their job well. Go to a different hospital, this is hospital needs to learn how to function properly. I would give this 0...
Read moreI waited 5 plus weeks for an appointment to see Dr.Heather Viola and confirmed multiple times with office staff at the 2109 Broadway, NYC location that Dr. Viola took my insurance. 2 days before my appointment I received a call from the office informing me that the Dr. did not take my Insurance. I was told by "Rebecca" that their staff had made a "Mistake" but that if I still wanted to see the Doctor-the uninsured fee would be $400. SERIOUSLY? STAY AWAY- absolutely no regard for wasting a person's time. In this age of COVID the ineptitude of this facility is...

Sometimes doctors who primarily treat patients on medicaid can be paternalistic, but I never experienced that at IMA. My PCP (Dr. Waite) was excellent--thoughtful, caring, and collaborative. She is very responsive via securemessage/MyChart, which I found to be much more efficient than calling the office. When she was booked and I saw other providers, I had a similarly...
