Plue Thai is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a charming ambiance, highlighted by a beautifully decorated wall of elephants that instantly transported us to Thailand. We visited on a chilly, winter weekday, and it was pretty quiet inside, but we didn't mind at all! As we perused the menu, we were intrigued by their seasonal winter offerings and decided to try the oxtail pho. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The oxtail was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and the broth was bursting with flavor. It was the perfect dish to warm me up on a chilly day, and the addition of gluten-free rice noodles made it even more enjoyable for me, as someone with gluten sensitivities. My sister opted for the chicken fried rice, which was equally impressive. Packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat, it was a comforting and satisfying choice. For appetizers, we couldn't resist the steamed dumplings, filled with a delicious blend of chicken, shrimp, and veggies. The accompanying sauce was a delightful complement to the dumplings, adding an extra layer of flavor. One aspect that truly stood out was the attentive and friendly service. In an age where good service can be hard to come by, we were impressed by the staff's warm hospitality and attentiveness throughout our meal. It truly enhanced our overall dining experience and made us feel welcome and valued as guests. To top it all off, they offer a fantastic selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including the lychee Earl Gray iced tea, which was a refreshing and delightful choice. I hear their Thai iced tea is amazing, but unfortunately I am lactose intolerant, so I had to pass on it! And let's not forget about the takeout experience! I ordered the Chili Garlic Crispy Pork Belly for my husband, and he absolutely loved it. He devoured every last bite, and said it had the perfect amount of heat. I stole a bite of the pork and it was so good, even after sitting in my car ride to the airport for over 40 minutes!! Overall, our experience at Plue Thai was nothing short of fantastic. With its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, exceptional service, and mouthwatering takeout options, it's a restaurant that we'll be returning to again. They offer tons of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine in the area!

Best thai restaurant for me in NYC! Hidden gem in the upper east side! The food is better than the food I ate in Thailand! Location: It is located along Lexington Ave! The interior is quite small but very nice bar where you can wait for you to be seated. Service: omg this guys are awesome! They gave us free thai tea while waiting! We are well taken care of. And they gave us good recommendations! Food: Everything was good! Like for real all the food was on point! CHIVE CAKE: crispy on the outside and soft inside, the sauce compliments the cake! Perfect appetizer. WINGS: crispy fried chicken wings! They tossed it in garlic sesame soy sauce! So good! PAD SEE EW: so the noodles here is what I like! I felt like they just made it. It was soft and chewy at the same time. The seasoning is perfect. PAPAYA SALAD: so good, very refreshing and again the seasoning is perfect. CHILI GARLIC CRISPY PORK BELLY: omg this is soo good and umami! The pork is so crispy even the skin! The meat was soft and flavorful. the rice and egg was cooked perfectly. The egg is dripping on the rice. THAI ICED TEA: so milky and sweet! Wish they have boba hahaha HOMEMADE LIMEADE with BASIL SEEDS: so refreshing and good! You have to order this! Price rating: 7/10. It was not bad, worth every penny! I will definitely come back here and try their other food. Best thai place!!

From the moment you step into the doors of this Thai restaurant, you are transported to the streets of Bangkok with the tantalizing aromas and vibrant atmosphere. The menu is a culinary journey through Thailand, offering a wide array of dishes that are bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend starting with the Tom Yum soup, a spicy and sour broth that is truly a taste sensation. For mains, the Thai Fried Rice is a must-try, with perfectly balance of flavours, succulent shrimp, and a delicious balance of crispy and savory flavors. If you're a fan of something sour, the papaya salad with string beans and crisp vegetables and tomatoes will not disappoint. We even got a Braised Beef Brisket ( came with rice) which did not disappoint. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who are happy to provide recommendations and ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a gem that should not be missed. This restaurant reminded of my visit back in Bangkok.

Was in the neighborhood and decided to try a new business. Very glad I did! Upon walking in, found out they have a lunch menu. That’s usually the way to go since you get to try different foods for a better value. I got a soup and an entree for less than 20$ (including tax and tip). Can pick between multiple soups and appetizers and the Thai classics as entrees. The soup was great on a rainy day. Warmed me right up. Rich in flavor and good sized portion. For my entree I had the drunken noodles with beef, 4/5 spice level. Great flavor and right amount of spice for my liking. They have some great patio / outdoor seating. Inside looked cute and quaint as well. They apparently have some great cocktails, beer and wine. I believe their specialty is around the infused soju drinks. On the list to try for next time. Liquor license coming soon. Service is always important when eating or drinking somewhere. Every person I interacted with had a smile on their face and was friendly. The owner / chef even came out to see how things were and if I needed anything. Those small gestures go a long way.

Experience the taste of Thailand in Plue, Uptown Manhattan! Chef Kim Chaimongkolchai’s culinary journey blends tradition with a modern twist. Named after the native vining plant, Plue offers a unique dining experience, radiating the warmth of Traditional Thai dishes. The appetizer selection was a delightful start, showcasing the rich variety of flavors. Must try for the appetizer is Curry Fish cake and Crispy shrimp Pancake. They were so delicious. The mouthwatering whole fish with the special sauce was a true highlight. The sauce is spicy but it was the perfect balance of spice and flavor. Pair it with the delectable Crab Fried rice will leave you craving for more. The hanger steak with the Northern style curry noodle is also so yummy. The steak was so tender . For the vegan lovers, dont miss out on the exquisite coco cream caramel dessert . It is a perfect ending to the meal. Plue Thai is a unique spot, combining fresh, local ingredients with Thai Flavors. A must-visit for those craving authentic and contemporary Thai cuisine.

We moved to the neighbourhood in just less than 2 weeks ago and have already ordered at Pro Thai 2 times (and I cook at home everyday so any restaurant must have very enticing food to make me order take out, so that says a lot 😄). Both of our orders were prepared to perfection, curry and the ground chicken basil were super super delicious and flavourful. Today we ordered chicken rice and pad see ew and they did not disappoint as well. We had pad see ew at another Thai restaurant before and it was super sweet, however we feel that all dishes at Pro Thai are well balanced and not sweet at all! Also reasonable prices for generous portion. We will definitely be coming back for more. Please keep up the good work! (I wish I had better picture but this was taken at our very dark apartment the first night we moved in haha)
