Plue Thai is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a charming ambiance, highlighted by a beautifully decorated wall of elephants that instantly transported us to Thailand. We visited on a chilly, winter weekday, and it was pretty quiet inside, but we didn't mind at all!
As we perused the menu, we were intrigued by their seasonal winter offerings and decided to try the oxtail pho. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The oxtail was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and the broth was bursting with flavor. It was the perfect dish to warm me up on a chilly day, and the addition of gluten-free rice noodles made it even more enjoyable for me, as someone with gluten sensitivities.
My sister opted for the chicken fried rice, which was equally impressive. Packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat, it was a comforting and satisfying choice. For appetizers, we couldn't resist the steamed dumplings, filled with a delicious blend of chicken, shrimp, and veggies. The accompanying sauce was a delightful complement to the dumplings, adding an extra layer of flavor.
One aspect that truly stood out was the attentive and friendly service. In an age where good service can be hard to come by, we were impressed by the staff's warm hospitality and attentiveness throughout our meal. It truly enhanced our overall dining experience and made us feel welcome and valued as guests.
To top it all off, they offer a fantastic selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including the lychee Earl Gray iced tea, which was a refreshing and delightful choice. I hear their Thai iced tea is amazing, but unfortunately I am lactose intolerant, so I had to pass on it!
And let's not forget about the takeout experience! I ordered the Chili Garlic Crispy Pork Belly for my husband, and he absolutely loved it. He devoured every last bite, and said it had the perfect amount of heat. I stole a bite of the pork and it was so good, even after sitting in my car ride to the airport for over 40 minutes!!
Overall, our experience at Plue Thai was nothing short of fantastic. With its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, exceptional service, and mouthwatering takeout options, it's a restaurant that we'll be returning to again.
They offer tons of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine...

I made a reservation here yesterday for my partner and I, after discovering the restaurant randomly, and I will never regret that decision. I knew I had to write my first review EVER because I will be coming back many, many times.
The food was fabulous. I've never eaten Thai, and everything was delicious, fresh, and came at a reasonable time. We started with two Yuzu cocktails, which were super yummy and came in these gorgeous glasses. Honestly, I would come back just for drinks! The attention to detail in the silverware, dishes, and restaurant decoration was very impressive.
Anyway, the drinks were great, and we shared an order of shrimp pancakes. They were so crispy and delicious and every bite was just as good as the last. We both had a steak salad with a chili lime vinaigrette, and it was the highlight of the dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly, the greens and vegetables were fresh and delicious, and this VINAIGRETTE! I had no words for it. The portion sizes were a little large, so we took half our salads home (the server packed them up for us!) and ate them for breakfast just now. It was just as good the morning after.
For dessert, we each had an order of mango sticky rice. I have had this dish before elsewhere, so I was already excited, but this restaurant blew my expectations out of the water. Everything was the perfect temperature and the rice had these other grains mixed in that made the texture delectable; it was the most flawless dessert we could have ordered after our meal. Maybe that was the real highlight.
Making the reservation only took a 30-second phone call, and there was even a little candle on our table when we came. Our server was so helpful and attentive, taking our dishes away promptly and making great suggestions. We arrived at 5, and it was not busy at all, which surprised me because the quality was so exemplary. In all, our 1.5 hr dinner came out to ~$100 dollars, without tip. A pricy dinner, perhaps, but I believe the quality is deserving...

Standards are high in NYC, so it's not often that you come across a restaurant where every aspect is a perfect 10/10. Plue has truly mastered this feat. The attention to detail is evident in everything from the decor to the dishes, making it the best dining experience my wife and I had in New York City in a long time.
The assortment of appetizers we tried was sublime, leaving us hard-pressed to pick a favorite. A standout for me were the steamed dumplings – a powerhouse of well balanced flavor and craftsmanship. Complementing our meal, the Sauvignon Blanc my wife enjoyed was perfectly paired, enhancing the culinary experience to a level beyond our expectations.
Service at Plue was impeccable. Our waiter was so attentive ensuring our plates were cleared promptly and our dishes arrived without delay. The experience made us regret not discovering Plue sooner, but it also cemented its place as our new weekly date night destination.
The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and coziness, with every detail, from the lighting to the mural and color palette, coalescing into a cohesive vision. It's rare to find a place in NYC that delivers such exceptional value without compromising on quality or presentation. Plue stands as a stark contrast to the overpriced, underwhelming offerings found all...
