I made my way over to the new Nuts Factory not quite sure what to expect. How many varieties of nuts can one store have? Apparently way more than I could have imagined! They had nuts covered in dusting of other nuts, candied, nuts, and candy by itself! If you took your bodega nuts section and married it to a candy store, this is what you would get. It's a cute shop that's quite organized and feels very clean.
With the help of an employee, I was able to try a couple of their offerings including tiramisu almonds, pistachio covered hazelnuts, and baklava hazelnuts. They also had other nut varieties like macadamia nuts, pecans, and so much more. As you walk towards the back on the left you start hitting the chocolate section as well as a section that looked like loose leaf teas. On the right side near the cashier, you also have a large variety of dried fruits and walking back up the right side of the store you get to the candy. There was far more in this store than I expected and I can confidently say it would be dangerous for me to walk in there again because I would walk out with so many bags of all of the things. Honestly, I'll probably be back and bring...
Read moreThese guys are great! There’s so many options and the customer service is excellent but only when it’s coming from the employees there. The manager (Ms Jasoda) however, isn’t the most polite person to deal with. On many occasions I’ve visited the store and majority of the time, I saw Ms Jasoda acting unprofessional and disrespectful towards the employees. A good business isn’t all just about good customer service or making a profit, it’s also about providing your employees with a safe, respectful and comfortable space to work at because at the end of the day, it’s the employees who keeps the customers coming back hence keeping the business up and running. The store’s reputation will truly be ruined if the manager continues to act in such an...
Read moreCute place! So my best friend and I decided to visit this spot(me living here and not venturing out in my area) craving candy. The candy we both picked out tasted stale. The sour belts were hard as stone(not even being funny!), the Coca-Cola candies were soft but not one once of flavor. But the cherry jelly beans were pretty descent. The guy at checkout wasn't pleasant at all nor did I feel like we were even acknowledged as we entered the store. If you need a store manege that understands customer service keep me in mind. Otherwise I have to...
