Oxygen Garden Spa — Local services in New York

I usually don't like to write bad reviews on businesses in my neighborhood because I want to support them. However today I'm just really disappointed. I went in for a facial today for the special deal $65.00 for deep cleaning. Ok so I've had many many many deep cleaning facials done in the past at many locations ranging from $45 - $250 worth. I've always left the spa with my face very red from all that extractions and the deep cleaning and ended up waking up the next day so "glowie" and clean!!!! However at Oxygen Spa the only extraction she did was on my nose THATS IT!!! Half of the time she used the static electricity tool on my face telling me how it'll make me look beautiful makes the skin elastic. I've got that done in the past and it never lasted half the facial session! Anyway my face looks the exact same as I walked in. I just left looking shiny. I had pores/ acne on my face i didnt look like I had a facial. and it was so not worth it $70 with tax plus $13 tips.. ($83!!!) It wasnt deep cleaning. That was just something else entirely and pretty expensive too. I had a $60 deep cleaning facial done in Chinatown which I still talk about to this day but unfortunately that's way downtown reason I went to this place. Close to home. Not going back for facial. Will never visit this salon again. First, they attempted to charge me extra for removing my gel toe polish AFTER I decided to give my toes a break from the gel polish. (I noticed discoloration and honestly it hit me that I have been wearing toe polish for the last 15 years straight) Anywho, I then explained to both technicians that they simply can’t make up a price that’s not on their menu. At that point, I realized the scam and manipulation and I was going to leave. I hate when businesses use manipulation tactics to gain money. Both technicians then BEGGED me to stay. Petting my head saying, “Don’t be so angry”. I can’t believe I stayed, but I did out of desperation. (No other salon around that had availability) In all honesty, they both did a good job. BUT they then wanted to bully me into leaving a larger tip. So RUDE! I paid $100 and I don’t even know what I paid for. When I asked for a receipt, she hesitated and then hit the no receipt button deliberately! I wish I was making this up. When Sunny return's( in two weeks unless they lied), I will be back to file a formal complaint on her staff....

If I could give 0 stars I would. This salon is pricier than other ones in the area and I don’t mind paying for good quality. This is the WORST my nails have ever looked. I went for gel extensions. She didn’t listen to me when I told her I wanted them short. She proceeded to cut the skin on 5 of my fingers... they were bleeding and are now scabbed. My gel polish chipped within 1 day. I got them done yesterday and they’re already chipping. I’ve never had this happen with gel nail polish. I will never go back to this salon. For a place that charges so much, you’d think they would do quality...
