Better Line Hardware — Local services in New York

This is the rudest store and the owner I have ever met. I bought a moisture meter and it doesn’t work, so I asked to return it and left it open just in case he wants to check if it actually doesn’t work. The second I said it doesn’t work, he starts to get mad at me, and saying something like I opened it and I should contact the company instead of asking him. (Note: the package is very easy to open, no seal outside, and if he just put it back it’s literally what he sold to me. ) He insisted that I finished using it and wanted to return after use, until he tested it himself and realized it actually doesn’t work. He kept talking in a 100% rude manner while I was trying to explain to him. I think no one should take the risk to be treated like this, I would give him minus star...

So impressed with the professionalism and expertise of the staff. I had to get keys made and 3 other places couldn't do it but Better Line made copies with no issue and all keys worked beautifully. Everything the neighborhood hardware store should be. A small place, but if you need it they probably have it, and at a fair price. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, with advice you’ll never get from the big-box store. Patronize a place that improves the neighborhood, not a chain that sucks...
