Delish!! You don't have to be Polish to order from here. If you haven't been to a Polish Deli in Ridgewood, go here. Heck, it's worth the drive from Brooklyn and anywhere in Queens. This is carry out only. You get dinners in the foam box with big heaping sides. All the food here is made there. You can get huge P meatballs, stews, stuffed cabbage, chicken quarters, fritters, and more. Splurge a little and add some perogies. Adding them to your box makes it a bona fide gut buster. Each entre comes with sides like sauerkraut or coleslaw and is enough for two people. Don't forget to get some sliced ham and maybe some other Polish imports like jelly or candy. If you are in the mood to make your own sandwiches, they sell rustic European rolls and bread. The ones with the oatmeal and other seeds on top is unbelievable. Buy extra of everything, you'll want leftovers. You have to add this place to your list- Yeah, Queens has the Greek, the Dominican, the Italian- all good! Now you have another option! Since the traffic in this place is mostly working folk that speak Polish, you won't go broke. They feed the neighborhood. They'll be happy to feed you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought Russian (cheese and potato) Pierogis there yesterday. They tasted a little sour but I guess they tried to cover the taste with grease and fried onion. Half an hour after consuming them I felt very dizzy and sleepy as did my friend. After that my friend started throwing up and I thought something was going to jump out of my stomach following by a nasty diarrhea. Never ever again am I going to buy food from them because they cut corners and knowingly sell old unsanitary food. Big health hazard to anyone who shops there. If you value your health I urge you to stay away. I don't know about the rest of their inventory and I don't want to know; I'm never taking that chance again. To me it's the worst food place I've ever visited. The only person I would reccommend to visit them would be a HEALTH DEPARTMENT INSPECTOR. God knows what other biological hazards he'd find there. I would give them zero stars but I have to give one in order...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store sells old sausage and expired cheese. Numerous times Iāve told these people that I live four hours away and so I ask for the freshest deli products so that I can have it fresh for a little bit longer. On a few occasions, not only were the products not very fresh, they were expired at the time of purchase! Shame on you scammers! Just cut your losses and stop selling spoiled food!
I used to shop here once per year while visiting family in NYC. When I did shop here I purchased in bulk, spending $200+ each time. I now spend my money at Biedronka on Myrtle ave., and I highly recommend you do the same. When I lived in the city, many years ago, they were good. Now theyāre just the worst. Idk...
