Renaissance Realty Group — Local services in New York

We keep our apartment sparkling clean and nevertheless have been dealing with cockroaches. I have had exterminators come 5 times in the past eight months, and each time take pictures of holes behind the oven and around the pipes where the roaches get in--they send these reports to Renaissance Realty and Renaissance does absolutely nothing. They are incredibly patronizing over the phone and accuse me of being dirty, despite receiving photos of our clean apartment with every pest control report. After five times of calling Renaissance Realty to deal with this issue, today they refused to speak to me because my name is not on the lease...of an NYC apartment! (Incredibly common for a transient city population, not to mention we pay rent in full and on time every month and have done so since the beginning of our lease.) They clearly just made up an excuse to not deal with their own mess. Absolutely dismal customer service--avoid them...

The customer service at Renaissance Realty Group is extremely poor. In the two years I have lived in one of their properties they have yet to respond to our request for repair, or returned a single phone call. Right now the hot water has been broken for three days, and you can imagine how dirty my person and dishes must be. Didn't get a single notification or apology from the company. Company = Fail.

Lies and deceit. You should NEVER use this realty group. They are bad humans. There was a fire in our building and I had ZERO HELP during it. Expect nothing from them. Emails. Calls. NADA. Getting your security deposit back? Impossible. Nothing is worst than your home being taken from you… and at least your management group should help, right? They couldn’t care less. DONT USE THEM.
