Resolution Audio Video — Local services in New York

I would give six stars if I could! I'm on the younger side for an audiophile, but I've been buying high-end stereo equipment since high school. Adam, the owner of Resolution A/V, is a kindred spirit who really "gets it" and is the furthest thing from the classic high-pressure hifi sales experience. I have spoken with / visited the "usual suspect" NYC stereo stores over the years...Adam is now my go-to guy.

Resolution A/V carries everything you want / need to bring that Carnegie Hall / jazz club / rock concert experience home. There's Devore Fidelity speakers, which are incredible. There are more expensive speakers out there, but I'm not sure there are more satisfying speakers out there. Stereophile got it right.

There are also some really rare and wonderful electronics. There's Riviera Audio Labs, starting from the integrated Levante all the way up to the separates. There's Shindo tube gear, there's McIntosh gear if that's more your speed, there's Leben, Sugden, there's a great vinyl / turntable set-up as well as DCS dacs / streamers....in short, it's a veritable candy shop for the music / hifi lover!

And again, Adam is wonderful to deal with. This is a time where you can buy anything online, and there are plenty of dealers who will sell you whatever you ask for, w/o really considering your needs. I would posit that for long-term satisfaction, and to actually save money in the long run, you should buy well and buy once....don't make buying mistakes in the first place. And that's where Resolution A/V comes in. You can hear a bunch of great things, receive excellent advice and service, and get off the next-next-thing purchase merry-go-round.

Anyone who’s come across Resolution Audio, whether in person or through social media, knows they’re a top-tier high-end audio dealer—but in my experience, they’re much more than that.

I started a monthly vinyl listening group in Connecticut almost three years ago. After following Adam on Instagram, I thought, “What a cool guy—he seems into music just like us.” I took a chance and invited him to one of our sessions.
