I first visited Kings County Distillery in 2015 and while I have had their stuff since then, I can't believe I haven't been back since then. The Gatehouses are a great place to hang and drink. First, since it's a historic building it's very rustic yet feels warm and welcome. The bathrooms are downstairs via an d spiral staircase in what used to be the basement and they still have the Air Raid Instructions. As for the spirits, well they are.nothing short of incredible. I had the five spirit tasting flight then decided to also try the coffee whiskey and the two variations of Kings Code they had available. The Kings Code is amazing it's a blend that Kings County Master Distiller makes from private barrels they acquire from other places and wow just wow. Overall, if you like whiskey make sure you visit the oldest distillery in NYC. Oh and to the owner/manager the girl working on . Monday when I visited was great, she knew her stuff and it was a pleasure talking with her about the different whiskeys.

Overall rating: 5 ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED. I know it’s already high at 4.7, but this is the vibe. It a bit hard to get to, I know, I know. But it’s in a castle type & I am just in love. I can’t remember when it closes, but it’s definitely an after work vibe or Sunday afternoon date. I’m not sure what it’s like at night, but I also don’t think the hours go into that late. Highly recommend, highly recommend if you’re a whisky fan. A great spot to go solo and read a book. And afternoon date. A group of friends. One minor minor comment: if you go in the summer, be prepared for a lot of mosquitos! Not sure if it’s because of the location or what. But next time I go, I will be wearing a lot of bug spray.

gem. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is on point—candlelit, moody, and set to a perfect soundtrack. It’s easily one of the best date night spots I’ve seen on the East Coast, with a cozy, intimate vibe that’s also incredibly Instagram-worthy. We kicked things off with espresso martinis, which packed a serious punch (in the best way). From there, we explored cocktails featuring their moonshine and darker spirits—each one expertly crafted and full of rich, bold flavors. If you’re looking for a unique, atmospheric spot for cocktails in Brooklyn, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
