I haven't even stayed a single night and I already regret the decision to stay here. One of the reasons that I chose to stay here was the remote check-in option that provides a digital key and allows you to bypass the font desk and go straight to your room. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for me. After I a long day of traveling I was looking forward to checking into my room at check-in time which is listed for 3:00 pm. I called the hotel once I arrived in town and I was informed that my room wasn't ready yet. I told the staff member that was ok because due to traffic I would be arriving a little after 3:00 pm any way. Once I was minutes away from the hotel I called again to see why the digital key wasn't working on my phone and I was told that it was because the room still wasn't ready, but I would be notified when it was ready and the digital key would then be active. Once I arrived I waited in the hotel lobby area with all of my luggage until 4:30 pm by which time I had already spoken with everyone at the front desk over the phone at least once, including the manager, Mallory. At this point I was beginning to become frustrated and I approached the front desk, re-explained who I was and I asked when my room would be ready. The associate asked for my ID even though she was aware that I had checked-in remotely which eliminates the need to check-in at the desk and show ID.... at least allegedly. The associate then told me that my room was ready. Then I asked her why I hadn't been notified and why the digital key still wasn't activated as the gentlemen standing next to her told me over the phone it would be. She looked over to her manager Mallory who just motioned for her to give me a physical card and send me on my way. This was a big sign of trouble to come because when the manager doesn't car, no body cares. The manager was to busy assisting the guest that came in behind me to get involved. I accepted the physical access card and finally made it up to my room to find the door barricaded by a house keeping cart and other house keeping equipment and the entire hallway smelled like marijuana. I guess there was no point in me booking that smoke free room! I opened the door and the room was absolutely freezing and the window was wide open. That might actually have been pleasant on July 18th, but not on October 18th, the day that this nightmare began. So much for being a Hilton Honors Member! I guess the moral of this story is, don't expect the staff to care if the manger doesn't. I'll being staying else ware for my future...
Read moreWorst Hotel Stay I ever had. Check in was a nightmare. I arrived at 6:00 pm, we had 6 rooms reserved and none were available. We had to wait 45 minutes to check in. 1 Room is accessible and they didn't have that ready so they had to scramble to find one. Finally checked in except i go to my room to find a man pleasuring himself on the bed. The clerk checked me into room someone was already in. The man was shocked i walked into his room but they key gave me access. Back downstairs and more delays finding me a room. Mind you i booked this a week in advance and prepaid rooms with no cancellations available. Wish the insanity ended there but it does not. They have no service elevator so techs and maids have ability to lock off elevators so wait time to go up or downstairs can sometimes be in excess of 10 - 15 minutes. They say they going to clean your room daily but that never happens either, i feel like you have to beg for room service. The food in morning is okay. Except every day it is cheese omelette's. Food choices are small. Staff is friendly except when they make a mistake then they are rude. Computer is a mess, reservations are a mess, whoever sets up room system should be fired. We got locked out of our rooms 5 times in 3 days, to return to desk to get keys reset. I got locked out of my room cause my entire room was removed from the system by a clerk. Had to wait 20 minutes again to check into a room i already paid for in full. Manager was polite and tried to help but his staff failed miserably and the systems in place to fix and control stuff are very flawed. Again no service elevator in the building so you can get stuck in an elevator with dirty laundry or garbage. If i had to give this hotel a star rating it would be 0 stars but i had to give them a 1. Wont ever stay here again and its a shame cause my company works in lower Manhattan frequently and its right near Manhattan Bridge and 5 minutes into NYC. Also zero parking, you have to go around corner and pay 65.00 a night for parking. Seems like this hotel is not set up for anyone bringing a car to the hotel, let alone work trucks or anything of that magnitude. Definitely not business...
Read moreStayed here over the 4th of July weekend with my boyfriend and had a great stay! We checked in with Kai and she was absolutely amazing, like beyond sweet. She was able to accommodate an early check in which made our lives so much easier! We chatted a bit and she ended up giving us an amazing corner room with a view of the river and was just so kind to us throughout the process! The rooms were clean and cute (a little small, but that’s expected in nyc so it wasn’t an issue), and the AC was blasting (which was needed on a very hot weekend). Everyone at the front who we interacted with (front desk, breakfast crew, housekeeping) were so kind and friendly and ready to provide whatever assistance we needed. The ONLY constructive feedback I have is for the male bartender in the restaurant who we interacted with a few times. During our first interaction he was snippy and basically refused to make a drink because it would “take too long” and just overall gave an attitude that felt like he didn’t want to be there. Our second interaction I ordered a glass of white wine and he came out with a red. I politely asked if this was the wine I had ordered and he rudely told me that I did not order a white and repeated that it was a red that I ordered. considering I could’ve made a mistake (though i’m sure I didnt) I apologized and said I thought I had said the white. he then accused me again of being wrong and insisted I ordered a red. which like fine?? but i’ve been a server and host for years and it’s just one of those things you brush off and say “you know what, maybe I misheard, let me got get you that white”. he also blamed the other staff for things that i’m pretty sure were his fault (not bringing a silverware rollup when I asked and saying it was the fault of the guy who brought out food). idk. just seemed like a lack of accountability and just an overall rude attitude. I apologize for this rant, but interacting with him was truly the only negative part of our stay, and I know other friends who stayed there this weekend had the same experience, so I just wanted to share my thoughts!! Anyway, would totally recommend...
