Worst braiding experience I've ever had. I asked for cornrows going straight back some big some small but symmetrical meaning if there's a big braid by my left ear the one by my right should look exactly the same. That's not what happened. She finished the left side and I asked her to please be more gentle. She turned me away from the mirror for the next two. I checked when she walked away and they were both crooked and looked nothing like the other braids. She redid them just to do the same crooked nonsense after ripping through my hairwith a small tooth comb. I guess she was determined tohurt me atthis point. I asked another customer if she thought it was crooked and she said yes. I asked another braider and she explained to the one braiding my hair. The whole time the girl is rolling her eyes while I'm trying to tell her it's crooked. I also noticed she left my hair at the nape of my neck out. Like how did she think these braids made sense? My head was so sore at that point I wanted to just leave. I paid (I shouldn't have) andleft. I'm currently atanother salon getting it redone.. I will never go back and I suggest you never do. What makes me angry is her rolling her eyes! Are you doing me a favor or am I paying you for a service! Trash experience!!!!
Update: The new lady I went to redid my hair for half what the first salon charged me saying it looked so bad she couldn't let me walk around like that. Meanwhile I asked her to only redo two braids thinking I could thug out that trash first hairstyle. She said it was a hot mess and my scalp was radiating heat and it looked irritated. She took her time and was so gentle. What a sweetheart! I feel...
Read morePaid $60 to basically lose my edges and possibly have traction alopecia. I cannot even raise my eyebrows without it hurting and I cannot wrinkle my forehead, that's how bad it is. I have limited time and live nearby and went here for the first time, to get crochet braids (the pattern and I would add the hair at home). The parts are not even neat. The person who braided my hair after asking me who was adding the crochet braids for me (and I said myself) got rough with her hands. Basically, she braided to my scalp, and my hair is to my chin, so it was unnecessary to braid like this with the added hair. I got my hair done 2/21, and today, 2/22, I am still in pain and could feel my heartbeat throbbing from my scalp last night. I have a work retreat starting Monday, and that is why I needed to get my hair done. The woman braiding my hair after she was done and I said it was too tight, she laughed a little and offered grease (as if that would do anything 🙄). I didn't realize how bad it was until I left, and the cold hit my scalp. It's extremely tight in every single part of my head!!!
She seemed to be rough for no reason. Maybe she hates 4c hair, even after blowdrying mine, a lot of black hairstylists do, and trash your hair in the process. The woman I called on the phone, was occupied with a client and was doing 4c hair without blowdrying it, and the client had not even a...
