Sadly I have to share my bad experience with this agency. Everything started well ; we established HHA to come attend my mother who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and just had surgery. Being an only child to my mother and just becoming a first time mom while learning my mother’s severe breast diagnose was a huge impact for me. I didn’t want to but I needed to ask for help. The help requested to help my mother with home duties (cleaning , laundry) is the most I take care of it all. The first HHA lady they sent was an older lady close to my mother’s age (late 50-60s) who automatically came in refusing to help my mother with carrying a bag of laundry . My mother had to go to the laundromat and having a DRAIN in her from the surgery she had to bring up the bag herself. The lady refused to help my mother. Mind you it was regular clothing nothing out of this world. Then she told my mother “ I have to leave now because I have to cook for my family”- which was before her time to clock out at 2pm. I was so upset not to be able to be there for my mother and to even think I can trust an agency to send a responsible person to help my mother in her condition makes me a feel even worst. The lady then randomly never came back. A few weeks with no HHA in the house . Then they send a young girl in her 20s who literally came in dressed in pajamas looking distrout and spaced out every time she came . My mother and I tried speaking to the girl because we wouldn’t want anyone to lose their job because of their appearance but unfortunately common sense did not sink into this girl . She would also come in sit to read a Magazine and on her phone and say I already moped and cleaned the bathroom ( didn’t bother to rinse out the dirty water from the mop and reused it ) . While my mothers dishes were sitting in the sink. Thank God I made it on time to see this because I had to with my own eyes to believe this nonsense . Who in their right mind would allow this ? I tried calling the agency and no answer . When I finally got in touch with the coordinator she tells me today was the last day of my mothers case. No heads up before hand nothing on top of the horrible service their HHA provided . This may not be the agencies fault their nice enough to give work to anyone but obviously not someone that wants to keep their job. If you decide to go with this agency I suggest you specify your needs. They will literally send anyone they want that can cover the hours not considering the actual service that the client needs. Never again . I’am so upset they basically charged my mothers insurance for nothing ! We ended up having to finish the job and for those two ladies that showed up with their nonchalant attitude and no respect towards a cancer patient i wish them well.
