We moved south from Carroll Gardens to the Vitagraph. For the same rent we were paying, we have modern amenities including a gym, business center, kids play area, lounge, security, an Amazon locker (plus package notifications), a beautiful courtyard, mini playground, and an amazing rooftop deck. My apartment is also top notchā they didnāt skimp on the finishes of the cabinets, bathroom hardware, or the appliances. There are so many other cool features too, including being able to unlock your doors, and others throughout the building from your phone, and a video intercom you can answer on your phone as well.
It took some getting used to with the food in the area, there was just a lot more in our old neighborhood, but thereās markets close by, some decent pizzerias, Dunkin, a bagel spot, all along the few block walk to the Avenue M station (not to mention many Seamless options).
I canāt complain about the service so far. I honestly have found the team to be super responsive despite managing a huge 300+ unit apartment building. Our old management company was much less responsive and just had 60 units to manage, and was always trying to cut corners, so truly, I think the team does a great job. The main areas are always kept clean, and they never guilt you for enjoying the amenities. As an example, kids go into the play area and tear the place up, and they always super graciously just tidy it back up (that would drive me crazy āŗļø), and they have also recently opened up the option to rent out the space for private parties, which is pretty sweet.
All my friends and family have loved the building, and Iām steadily trying to recruit them to make the move here.
Oh, and did I mention, there is parking available? It does come at a cost, but itās an amazing option, although parking in the area isnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEwelina and Adis are honestly the best they go above and beyond to help you out with everything and beyond that they individually both have great personalities. Linda another (another great personality) helped us find a great apartment but on touring the building we recently ended up moving to a much bigger apt inside the same Vitagraph with a big terrace and Ewelina made the move very practical and relatively easy. The area the building is in is very safe, but you still get really good views on the top floors. Also you get a lot of space for comparatively low prices. Sure parking costs money but you're basically living in NYC here. Before moving here I checked out 420 Kent, BKLYN AIR, Eagle....you name it...all of them cost double, have much more expensive parking (we have 3 cars), and the apt sizes are considerably smaller. If you're going to spend money, you want where you live to look like you are spending money. Vitagraph in general is a smart decision if you want luxury that's worth what you pay for it, which is and just always has been super hard to find in NY. Appliances are all new. The bathrooms are well made. Air conditioning works well, heat works well. Rooftop has beautiful views when the sun is setting also. Can't complain. Very happy, and this is admittedly very hard to beat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen living here for a little over a year. The complex does have great things going for it on the outside with beautiful aesthetics, amenities, and convenience to the subway, but falls short when it comes to the actual apartment units. The walls are super thin so I could hear everything from the television, to even conversations of my next door neighbors.
The biggest issue has been the gym noise, my Apt is centrally located on the 3rd floor of the B building, and the gym is on the main floor directly levels down from my Apt. I can hear the sounds of guests in the gym dropping the weights throughout all rooms of my Apt especially my bedroom, and even sometimes hear people running on the treadmill if they are running heavily. Iāve been woken up to it in the mornings and hear it throughout the day constantly in my time here. I even hear it as Iām writing this post! Iāve complained to old and current management about it and all thatās been done is posting signs up to notify guests to not drop the weights. Iām guessing gym noise wasnāt factored in during the construction of the building for apts particularly in the B building central side. I wish I had been informed of this before I moved into this Apt so wanted to...
