Fortunately for all you readers, I have my mothers genes and will tell you like it is. First off, I got a pretty good laugh at the 2 star review. Everyone has a different idea what a boxing club should be like...theres the "perfect" gym which exists in the minds of each of us, then comes the reality. I have been around the training circuit for quite a while. There has been no place I have ever trained where the instructors spend their entire time with you other than paying for a personal session. The trainers here are very good, professional in their experience and demeanor, and kind enough to correct you when your form is not up too par...I, for one, did not come here to be a professional boxer, but I did join so I would be able to handle myself if needed, to get a good overall workout ending in a good sweat no matter what time of year it is, have fun, learn, improve my form and be able to feel I accomplished something each day...at Trinity, I get all of this and more. For the more serious people who want to become boxers, this is a great place...boxing is a sport requiring repetition...in fact, constant repetition. I see those people as well, getting help too by the staff. Yes, they do have a set routine to develop your boxing skills, and they should be followed. However, they offer strength and conditioning training as part of the routine, and its a variety of exercises, and none are the same. The owner has a great product, and on top of it all, he's a knowledgeable professional with a wonderful sense of humor. I have been managing people since I am 23 years old, and unfortunately its impossible to make everyone happy no matter what you do for them. So my advice is this...if you are looking to learn how to box, have a great workout, variety of exercises, in a club where the staff and owner are top notch, you must give this place a try.. this...
Read moreIf you have not had previous experience with boxing you would think this is the most amazing gym ever. It is not. You pay $300 for âsemi privateâ training. Meaning during the training sessions, at any given time 2-4 trainers on the floor should be ready to work with you. At most you might have 2-3 people in a group with you. The first week was amazing. The trainer worked with me throughout the session and I really felt like I was getting better.
2nd week and the 3rd week came. Things changed and got to reality really quick. The good trainers are usually booked out with personal session which are $$$. After the first week the trainers stop coming around and helping you throughout the session. By this time 85% of your session will be âindependentâ work. Unfortunately this means that no one is correcting you and molding your technique.
You do the same thing everyday. Thereâs no versatility in your training. Thereâs no implementation of different exercises that build your skill. You come in jump rope for 2 is rounds (independent), shadow box (independent), then your on the bag (independent), mitts ONLY 2 ROUNDS(trainer), then conditioning (independent). So basically your paying $300 a month for gym access and 2 rounds of mitts. The gym could be much better if the trainers were off their phone and they would cut back on the amount of talking with clients and get serious and passionate about their work. In order to cancel you have to give a 30 day notice.

Read moreTrinity is awesome, especially for motivated newcomers. [I haven't been to Gleason's so I can't compare across boxing gyms.]
First of all, all of the trainers are sick. They're cool, (in a really motivating way) disturbingly strong, fast, and tolerant of no member BS. DO THAT LAST REP. WHY HAVE YOU STOPPED?! MY FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER COULD TAKE YOUR WEAK PUNCHES. (Lol.)
Price. It's worth noting that though the monthly price seems "high" maybe ââ comparable to that of Equinox and Equinox is a palace ââ it seems to me there's much more value in Trinity, assuming you want to get strong and lean and not bulked up. If you go every day they're open (you should go every day they're open) it works out to about $10 a session. But at each (1-2 hour) session you end up working with at least two different trainers who help improve form and push you hard in conditioning.
Also they seem to offer students a discount.
Best gym experience...
