Horrible Service, only 1 counter open with at least 20 people on line. We show up to our appointment 15 minute early and ask if we are at the right place, we don't mind waiting, she said just wait there. We wait.. wait.. wait.. appointment time came and passed, 15 minutes, 30 minutes.. I asked what's going on, she said 5 more minutes.
I asked to speak to supervisor, no one in sight for good 10 minutes. Finally, turns out it is the same person at the only counter that's servicing everyone is the person who takes the passport applications. I was furious. There were other people waiting for passport application with appointments. USPS should be ashamed of themselves for running a station like this. Either don't take appointments or honor them with available staff. It's not that we waited, but we waited with absolutely no communication, no apology no update no estimate "just wait" based on what?
Do yourself a favor, if you are going to get passport, find another station and keep writing to postmaster or whoever is the boss of USPS about the bad service at this station....

ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW: Since the New York post office made mailboxes useless for even the smallest packages, they force you to come into the post office to mail almost anything. That way if you want to get your mail moved promptly, you have to wait on line and watch the clerk scan it in like you're watching a misbehaving child do their homework. This wastes everyone's time but that works fine for an organization where no one can ever get fired. The mail can be delayed by a week or more but that's a small price to pay to not make any waves.
If you have to use it, you should...
Read moreStopped here to send something return receipt. Line was short, got to the window and was given a slip to fill out and come back in line. Filled out slip and went back in line, waited and was approached by a supervisor who was assisting people who had questions. Told him what we were doing, showed him the slip and he informed us we need an additional green form which he got for us. Got out of line, to fill out that form and got back in line and submitted everything. Process was quick but would have been quicker if the person behind the window could have given us complete information preventing us from getting in line three times.
The supervisor was helpful and we saw him answer many people’s questions. Other branches should try having like a supervisor in the building answering questions and assisting people.
This would make going to the post office a much...
