Most of the reviews here are a bit outdated, so here’s my honest take as someone who shops here pretty often—usually whenever I’m bored. I live in the neighborhood, and since there aren’t many thrift stores around, this spot has become a regular for me.
Pros: • You can definitely find good clothes here if you’re willing to take the time to browse. • The prices are slowly creeping up (as is the case with most thrift stores now), but thankfully they don’t overprice based strictly on brand names, which is a plus. • It’s a convenient, local spot if you live nearby and want to thrift casually.
Cons: • The books, CDs, and DVDs are not organized well at all. It makes browsing really frustrating and time-consuming. I wish they’d improve the layout or labeling of those sections. • Customer service is average. The cashier is polite but doesn’t speak much English, so there’s not much interaction—which is fine for me since I usually just check out quietly.
All in all, it’s not a hidden gem, but it’s a decent local thrift shop. Just be ready to dig a bit to find...
Read moreGreat thrift shop that has a lot of good, yet a bit expensive, stuff. BUT - guy at the counter ruins the entire experience! Went here to sift through the new stuff they have, as you do in thrift shops, and was disappointed with the current selection. Asked the guy at the counter when they get new stuff and he very rudely yelled “no!”
Assuming he didn’t understand what I said, I repeated my question and he again yelled “no!” Thanked him as I made my way out the door and he let out an exasperated “okay.” Weird customer service, would NEVER come back here again.
Oh, and if you’re reading this - I’ve bought three items ($50-ish worth of stuff) from your store before this interaction. Your store is only as good as the community that...
Read moreOkay… so the guy at the store does not speak much English, even though I tried my best to understand. But according to him, there is no 25% discount even I presented my coupons from my donations.
I would like to support local small business, but his attitude turned me away… I was willing to listen and wanted to understand the system but I think he insulted me so I left. There was an old gentleman there with me (a stranger) to listen to him too, but he didn’t understand neither. There was no one else who can translate Spanish for me.
Anyways, according to him, the sign on the window is false. No 25% discount. I thought I should share this info. Also, he did not give me the...
