I just dont see how this studio has so many positive reviews. They do not use saftey crash mats when teaching people how to pole dance. I was a beginner, showed up on the instructors last day, was mostly ignored while she had her last hurrah with her friends who comprised the vast majority of the rest of the class. She would go over how to do a move once or twice and move on to teach the more advanced students. It felt less like i was being instructed in the move and more like she was showing off how hot she was. I literally fell attempting a move while she wasnt looking in the first five minutes and landed directly on my knee and was so hurt i couldnt continue or go to work the next day. When i asked her to explain the move more she said "youre scared to come off the ground. Dont worry its a beginner move theres no way to fall you wont fall." BUT I HAD ALREADY FALLEN AND REALLY HURT MYSELF AND LOW KEY WEPT IN THE BATHROOM OVER IT. The class wasnt structured for beginners in any capacity. It felt like an open free pole class and i was way out of my depth. It honestly was everything i feared going in to pole dance. It was full of really confident, attractive women who knew each other, all the steps and the instructor. I was an outcast and rapidly upgraded to an injured outcast. My boyfriend had a blast though! And i loved the presence of full figured women. Just them being there went a long way toward assuaging my fears that id be the heaviest one. But it still didnt feel good to be SO left out. I dont want to come back. It feels unsafe and also ...unwelcoming. Like im glad my boyfriend came with me because i ...dont see myself making any friends. They all only spoke to each other. The vibes were amazing between the instructor and her friends. I felt especially bad being left out in the cold because it seemed fun on the inside of the clique. She REALLY enjoyed her last day. I had been looking forward to trying my hand at pole for so long. This was honestly a horrible first impression, im heartbroken and will probably be seeking some sort of refund and going back to lyra hoop with body and pole. I just dont think Mathieu would have let me fall like that i...
Read moreZumba was fun especially for Nando Andrea and the rest of the instructors it’s not about being a dancer or being a superstar it’s about being yourself and enjoying yourself and having fun and a great time by leaving all the attitude drama and problems at the door there is no ego nor ill will nor gossip lies and rumors allowed there is a song saying “drink your water and mind your own business” when you come to a place whether you’re having a bad day or life is too stressful and all you go out there and dance your hearts out by blocking out all the negativity ignore all the jealousy envy hatred and toxicity lesson learned for everyone: when you enter a class save a spot DO NOT HOLD ALL the spots unless your friends (1 or 2) are coming plus respect yourself and others with safety dignity honesty and trust and hold yourself accountable with your behavior and actions by coming cordially warm and welcoming the place is very calm and intimate and the environment is very clean friendly and comfortable and the rules law regulations and policy are very strict to follow by following it to gain respect and ALWAYS doing the right thing without any harm nor threat but finding peace and create a distance to feel safe and comfortable and NOT being on top of each other been there done that accept it and move on like the Beatles song goes “let it be” with that being said I enjoy Zumba and other fitness activities and I wish the dance and fitness community ALL the best peace love and many...
Read moreSo I was bored with nothing to do , then decided since i was free on a Thursday let me just go to the gym. On my way driving on Francis Lewis Blvd , I saw a sign that said VIBEZ STUDIO Zumba so I decided to stop and try something different. Parked my car and headed up to the second Floor (where the studio is located). It looked packed from the outside so I knew i was in the right place . I waited for everyone to go inside , walked up to the receptionist and she welcomed me with a big smile on her face(i felt the love) so I told her it was my first and i wanted to try the class. She said no problem she handed me a clip board and asked me to filled out a waver which I did , and the Class was $10 which I didn't mind paying (figure ill just do it one time) . After that I walked into the studio and I was amazed they had these disco LED lights (WOW) I felt like I was in the club in sneakers and sweats (best dream ever) HA! ... Then like 3 mins later the instructor walked it and introduce her self as Christy (she was very beautiful) . Can I say It was the best hour of exercise I ever had. So Now I have canceled my membership at my GYM and now joined VIBEZ Studio Membership .. Not only is the Studio awesome so is everyone else , Even the Students and I have made some new Friends . I must say I have an addiction now .. Thank you to everyone at...
