Up until this year this was one of the best Walgreens in the bronx. At the pharmacy counter it's now impossible to get your medication. They have 2 ladies that do not know English or Spanish and have no idea how to use the Walgreens system. I've been getting my medication at this location for about 10 yrs never ever had an issue until now. These ladies never find my name in the system and when they do they never find my refills even thou I requested refill online 1-2 days before or I called and spoke to someone and confirmed I had refills. When these 2 ladies are at the counter the line is ridiculously long at times from one side of the store to another because they have no clue what they are doing. You hear people complaining and even the manager walks around and sees this and does nothing. I've even spoken to other employees and they say they have also complained about these 2 ladies but it goes to deaf ears. Today I went to pick up my asthma pump which I requested refill online 2 days ago, she looks it up and tells me they have no medication. I go yes I have my asthma pump and show her the email confirmation, she says thats a system error you have nothing in system. One of her co-workers who knows me goes next to her checks and says yes here it is give us 10 mins and it'll be ready. This lady has no business being in the pharmacy area when she has no idea what she is doing. God forbid they allow her to actually prepare peoples medication, that'll not only be disastrous it's a big lawsuit for Walgreens. The other thing is it is hard to visit since they now allow the Auto Body Shop next door and Post office to use the parking and there is no parking to be able to go in. All the spots are full and when you go in the only line is at the pharmacy and even if each person had a car it still wasn't enough to fill each space. Signs of 30 min parking are just for show. It says it's Walgreens parking but obviously it's not and again manager doesn't do anything about it like calling the Tow truck to start towing cars away of people that are not Walgreens Customer like the sign says. There was a time this Walgreens was accessible and never an issue in parking or pharmacy. Now it's become the worst in the Bronx. I don't recommend it at all I've already started in changing my prescription, my mother and uncle to the family pharmacy in my neighborhood which has parking and knowledgeable pharmacist that know what...
Read moreI wish I could give this store NO STARS.
Here is why...
I went to the store to buy ADULT DIAPERS. (OBVIOUSLY, I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN)
I parked in the lot behind the store. Before I went into the store, I thought it was a good idea to go across the street to drop my Christmas cards in the Post Office.
Big mistake.
I must let you know that it took me ONLY about 3 minutes to cross the street and drop the cards off.
By the time I went back across the street another man leaving the post office started yelling someone in the lot is having the CAR TOWED AWAY!!!
OMG...IT WAS MY CAR!!
I freaked out...you would too.
The young man in the tow truck came out and told me I had to pay $65 to avoid having my car towed.
I explained to him that I just dropped of Christmas card in the Post Office and I that I was in there about 3 minutes and was going into Walgreens to buy Adult Diapers.
He did not care.
And again he asked me to pay $65.
I asked him WHY did he put the boot on my car?
He informed me that THE TOW TRUCK COMPANY THAT HE WORKED FOR has an arrangement with the owners of the property that Walgreens leases and that they tow any cars parked illegally in Walgreens Parking lot.
I explained to him again that I was only in the Post Office a couple of minutes. He again told me that he had an agreement with Walgreens.
He also said that HE WATCHED ME PARK IN THE LOT FROM ANOTHER PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET (I COULD SEE WHERE HE WAITED AND WATCHED FROM -- HE POINTED IT OUT TO ME) and he timed me.
He also said that he/tow company give the customers a couple of minutes to WALK into Walgreens and if they take more than 5 minutes their cars are towed.
Now, I actually had no cash on me so I ACTUALLY HAD TO GO INTO WALGREENS TO GET CASH OUT OF THE ATM MACHINE....IRONIC!!!
So, I came out gave him the $65 and he wrote a receipt.
I asked him how long it would take to take the BOOT OFF MY CAR....and....HE SAID HE NEVER PUT THE BOOT ON THE CAR...he did not have enough time....
So I ask you....was this a set up or what!!!
I called the POLICE DEPARTMENT...THE WALGREEN'S COMPANY, ETC.
NO ONE HAD ANYTHING TO SAY...THERE WAS NOTHING ANYONE COULD DO.
WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!
FOR THIS REASON...
DON'T SHOP AT WALGREEN AT 55 WESTCHESTER SQUARE BRONX, NEW YORK
YOU'LL REGRET!!!!!
PS THE TOW TRUCK COMPANY WAS: ANTHONY'S...
