Walgreens — Local services in New York

If I could give a 0 I would. I usually only post these after being mistreated for a long time. With this place, I've given them the benefit of the doubt because I realize pharmacies are difficult to manage, but this last time I went to my local Walgreens was the last straw. The Walgreens employees at this store are either racist against certain groups or just horrible people who have no business in customer service. After waiting in a long line for about 10 minutes, holding a heavy arm full of items and bags, and visiting the place with my dogs, there were a number of cashiers that begrudgingly migrated to help customers. Then, the minute it was my turn, the cashier I went to proceeded to tell me the machine broke and to go to another cashier, but by then, the cashiers that miraculously came to help clear the line, suddenly left. After I waited for the only cashier that would help me, the other cashier that had earlier "shooed me away" suddenly said he could accept customers paying cash. I was paying cash, but he never asked me, just didn't bother to ask and instead brushed me aside. This place is clearly mismanaged, always smells like pot, is hotter inside than outside, and is just a mess in terms of rude customer service employees. I suggest you ONLY frequent this place if you have to. I shop here to avoid using the subway to get my dogs their favorite food while I wait for the Chewy order. But I think from now on, I will pay the extra $5.50 and walk with heavy bags just to avoid this place altogether. This store gives the general Walgreens...

If I could give negative stars I would! Living in the city is hard enough and to be accused of stealing when you infact don’t steal is a nightmare/joke. My sister and her husband had the worst experience last night this is her story…. I have been going to Walgreens at 1419 newkirk in Brooklyn. Yesterday when I went my husband and I were harassed by a "manager " he was making comments in a creeepy uncomfortable manner while I was gathering things I needed. Then I confronted him and he said I was stealing. I was appalled!! He accused me and my husband IN FRONT OF MANY PEOPLE. I said to get the police down there immediately so we could sort everything and the police came. no video was found that the manager said he had. In fact he said he had several videos and that he was building a case. I left and waited for police outside. No videos were found. We were trespassed from the store. My husband works for 911 in the Bronx. This was a terrible experience. I spend a lot of money in this store and I think it was disgusting that they were able to treat...

horrible experience. Every time I've been there I've been told prescription was ready and then had to wait an hour for them to fill it. Literally had someone in pharmacy say "when we said your prescription was ready, we meant it was ready for us to fill. It didn't mean it was ready for you to pick up". Then they say "Wait 15 minutes" I sit and wait an hour and eventually walk up to counter to ask and the medication has been sitting there Today had the same thing happen: prescription wasn't ready, I waited, checked after a half hour, was told to wait; checked after 45 minutes, was told to wait; checked after one hour, and the prescription had been filled the entire time and the person working the counter didn't notice.

I understand the people working at the pharmacy are incredibly overworked (I've never seen less than 10 people in line waiting/today over 25) but...
