I live in the neighborhood where this church is located. During COVID, I walked past this area several times and saw families playing in the church courtyard with their children. One day I decided to take my 2 year old daughter so she could enjoy some fresh air in a safe environment. We stayed for maybe an hour. The next day, the courtyard was blocked off and there was a sign that said "PRIVATE PROPERTY". I didn't think anything of it, until a few days later I saw a woman and her two daughters walk around the signs and chained areas and go in to play. They were white. My daughter and I are black. I was very disheartened because I would have thought the one place that my child could play safety and without issue would be a church.
