The Apostles' House — Local services in Newark

I’m always looking for a place to donate children’s clothing, shoes and coats especially in the winter. Every year I seem to over buy for my kids so I donate items that are in great condition, it’s never noticeably worn. When I called the Apostles House in was told they Only Accept “Brand New Items” I was shocked honestly! It’s so many kids in need. And so many people that have items that are like (new) to give. But if they are receiving brand new items from people willing to donate than that too is also a blessing. I hope they are accepting all the blessings people are willing to give for those women...

Shelter needs to be shut down. Staff is unprofessional and don't respect you as a human being. They tell all your personal information to other residents and staff. Ms. Victoria and Ms. Iris are crooks and very sneaky. Ms.Victoria was summons to court several times due to her bad character within the shelter and her co-worker was caught embezzling money from several residents who paid shelter fee's to reside there. This place is also rat infested around the outside of the shelter. Staff do not have any concern for homeless families only doing their job to get paid and that is verbaly made...

O Volunteer there for welfare and they slaved me knowing. I was pregnant . some ofthe staff.. Are nice but I'm very disappointed in Ms Victoria she knew my situation and got me terminated from my program. Very sneaky.
