Took my Tesla in for a wheel alignment and balancing, the service was excellent! Shoutout to the front desk reps - they were welcoming. Also, a shoutout to Steve - he asked about my concerns and was very informative about possible causes and fixes. Great service, location, and employees!

After driving on the highway, I noticed that in order to keep the car straight, the steering wheel has to be slightly turned to the left. When the steering wheel is straight, the car drifts to the right. Additionally, the car's built-in steering angle sensor shows that the car is -2 degrees off, even after I reset it myself. The shop was so busy that I couldn't wait for a few hours, so I made an appointment for the very next day at 9 am. When I got my car back and drove on the I-95, the steering wheel was still a bit crooked to the left. When I straightened it, the car then drifted to the right. I checked to see what the car steering wheel angle sensor reads, and it showed -0.7 degrees. At this point, I realized that I might have to do this job myself. I usually don't go to mechanic shops because of the poor quality of work. I typically do a better job myself & save money, but I wanted to do things the professional way and get a receipt for the work performed. Steve was nice enough to tell me to come back if there were any issues after my last visit, but honestly, I don't feel like bothering these guys. I understand that they don't really test the car at highway speeds to accurately tweak and tune things right. Despite my dissatisfaction, I still believe their customer service is top-notch.

I took my car back to the shop they explained to me that the car steering angle sensor needed to be reset and at the time this branch Mavis are not equipped with the technology needed to reset it. Having to travel back and forth to care for my mother and care for my children and my business has been a challenge that could’ve difficult but hasn’t been difficult. I needed to get a tire and was trying to buy a used tire until I got home. But thinking on what could happen on the road with my children I needed to use wisdom. I called around and no one had a used tire. So I ended up here. They checked the tire to see if it could be fixed but it couldn’t. They changed the tire within 30 minutes and Demetrius showed me what happened to the tire and where the plug was leaking from the previous tire.

What I must say to a female who may be a single mother like myself. I know sometimes things may seem like you need to cut corners to save a buck or two. But if you can avoid it…avoid it. Better you make an investment with your money then spend your money. Always remember to spend means to waste and to invest means to be fruitful and it comes with a greater return.

Short They treat people awesome at this location. I will be a repeat customer!!

Long I was a frequent customer of Mavis Tire, until I had a bad experience at one. When I saw this one in Harrison was opening in my area I figured I'd give this new one a try. When I went in to get an oil change Luis was great! He was helpful and went over everything with me, also applied the coupon that was online without me having to ask. He asked if I had any other concerns with my car, I told him I was concerned about the brakes, he said they would take a look and let me know. I got my oil changed and my tires rotated (for free) and he was very transparent about my brakes. When I was finished with my oil change I got a call from Raz who let me know that I didn't have to get them done right away and explained all my options. I really appreciate the work they did, because as a woman sometimes mechanics try to scam you (like I was scammed at the other Mavis).
