I have to say, it was the Newburgh branch that caused my entire family, myself included, to pull out all of our funds and close our accounts. The issues I experienced leading up to our awful time at the Newburgh location, were so awful and full of detail that I will not even attempt to begin describing all of it. To make it simple, they allowed a third party company to steal from me - and through 2 disputes that I made, I also made over 35 phone calls to retrieve any information I could that they were requesting to prove this theft. Because it was a theft, the third party business obviously didn’t cooperate with me at All in getting any of this paperwork - heritage and visa did absolutely Nothing to investigate or help the situation. It was the first time I’d Ever filed a dispute / fraud while being a member of this bank. And I’ve been a customer there for over 12 years. So, they clearly do not care at All for their customers. And I lost over $700 for doing absolutely nothing wrong. With that said, the time we spent at Newburgh was the last kick in the gut for us all to realize that they clearly do not care for their customers as they should. Friendly enough at the front lines, no issues with basic day to day stuff at all and I was perfectly happy but loans and lending has been a nightmare for me personally. That one department will have me forever telling everyone to stay away from this institution.
You know how a happy customer will tell a few friends, an unhappy one will tell everyone? Well I'm definitely telling everyone to avoid Heritage. I had a loan, paid it off several years early. They act like no one has ever paid a loan off early before, cannot get me a title to save their life. Weeks of waiting, multiple calls, talked to 15+ people at this point. Tried to just ask for a manager but no one is ever available and they promise to call but never do.
I deserve to be treated as a valuable customer, and I will take my business to a credit union that also believes this. One that follows though on that promise. Sadly, for me, Heritage falls very short. I get better treatment and follow though from regular banks, and they are no comparison to other credit...
Read moreWould NOT recommend for any lending needs. They are very rude in that department, I fell on hard times due to putting myself thru nursing school. Have been sending payments every since and they continue to harass me by calling, message, and email. I only owe approximately $700 of an $8,000 loan and they are still harassing. I have talked to 3 different people from that department in text, email, and voice letting them know that I have full intentions to pay this off but they continue to harass daily. Obviously if I could pay it off in one payment I definitely would but the reality of the situation is I have to make payments and one of the ladies literally told me that it is not enough that they want the full amount in one payment.One star for unnecessary harassment when the customer is fully communicating on a regular basis and sending in regular payments to pay the amount owed off as quickly...
