Today I witnessed the female owner screaming and cussing at elderly Mother and Daughter customers. This incident was triggered when the daughter had pick up her phone to the nurse of her special needs son. This store had a No Phone sign. The owner called her customers the F word and snatched the phone off her body and ran outside and threw it on the ground. As I tried to calm the daughter outside and asked what happened, the owner came back out and started to screaming at her again. I reminded the owner that we’re not in her store so please stop yelling at the daughter. She got even loader and told me “ You need to go home and paint!”. I had just purchased a painting kit from the store for a 2 yrs old daughter that was present. I understood the customer was careless and had missed the sign, but to be treated In that manner was inhumane and should not be tolerated.    Read moreI was about to purchase a quilt, pillows and chair which would’ve been over a $3,000 but the owner stormed over, told me a section was closed and was incredibly rude. Their store is not too unique, I left as I will not ever support a rude owner who clearly does not value her customer base. I’m not the only one who has had this experience. This owner is absolutely awful and I would suggest steering clear of such an awful establishment. She’s the worst of Newport, I think I she’s jealous of the residents due to the fact she’s clearly miserable managing a store. A simple, oh I’m so sorry, yes we are taking a small break, sorry for the inconvenience would have felt a lot nicer on my end rather than, oh well you should have followed us on IG.
