Newport Marina — Attraction in Newport Beach

You can only grow if you're willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new. 🙏🙏🦭🛥 Today we went deep sea 🎣 fishing off the Oregon coast...and it was my 1st time! 🦀🦀🦀 Newport Marina Charters, with Capt. Mark and Brad were amazing! They were professional and so much fun. I only learned to swim last year, and they made me feel, not only safe, but without an ounce of awkwardness, due to my limited skill set!🤣 🐠🐠🐠 We had to come in early due to…well…the ocean!😂 She started throwing us some 12 foot waves and wasn’t planning to back down! 🛥🛥🛥 In a 2 hour time frame, I caught a Ling Cod and it was opening day of crab 🦀 season. We hauled in 53 crabs!!! 😁😁😁 There was a bit of drama; the rules say that you can’t pull crab pots until 9:00 a.m. sharp. Well one 🛥 got greedy and pulled theirs up 45 minutes early. Coast Guard was on the scene with fines and pulling their license for the year! AND, they didn’t even get to keep their crab!!! Greed never...

The Newport marina is one of the better marinas I've been to in southern California. You really cant beat the location as its right off of Pacific Coast highway in the heart of Newport Beach. Parking is also very convenient, however it can get filled up quickly especially on hot summer days when a lot people are enjoying...

Great place with a multitude of ships and boats to see. The harbor attendant was so nice to my 9 year old son and even took him on a tour of the boats for same to let him pick one...
